What are they talking about
It’s like 1am and I’m thinking about Mista and Purple Haze Feedback again. And how part of something he said in there kinda supports my own reading of his tetraphobia as like a coping mechanism for his trauma.
I know that in the canon they stated the thing about the friend of his getting scratched by the cats being the earliest source of his fear of four, but I always found it weird that we weren’t given an actual explanation for it or that we didn’t see this phobia mentioned at all in his backstory. Unsure about the manga, but in the anime they do note that he fired four shots during the shoot out he was involved in. And for someone with such an emphasized simple life until that point, it seems unlikely that he wasn’t phased by this. And somehow him trying to process this and go back to his normal simpleminded way of life turned into associating four as bad because of this incident.
In purple haze feedback he mentions he liked being number three in Passione’s chain of command because “two is half of four” which would imply his aversion of the number four has gotten worse after the events of Vento Aureo, and he is now using this same method of associating four as bad and unlucky to process his feelings about loosing the gang.
