The first assignment that I was given as an introduction to the pipeline was modeling/texturing/shader set up of Korg’s weapon for this shot. @Regrann from @trekmovie - Happy birthday to Karl Urban, who took on the role of Dr. McCoy in the Kelvin universe Star Trek movies, and managed to evoke the spirit of DeForest Kelley and still make the role his own. Of course, that’s not his only iconic role. He was Julius Caesar and Cupid in Xena: Warrior Princess & Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He was also Éomer in the second and third Lord of the Rings trilogy. He’s Judge Dredd in Dredd. And he’s going to be Skurge in Thor: Ragnarok in November. He started watching Star Trek when he was 7 years old, and actively pursued the role of Dr. McCoy. We’re so glad he did!
