Under Queen Star’s Reign
Apologies for lack of art-- after working on Thanksgiving day, I’m pooped out and I am taking my break from art until at least Monday or Tuesday
Headcanon time!
After Star became queen she..
Cleaned up Mewni to make the kingdom look more clean and modern
Ended the segregation between Mewmans and Monsters by writing a peace treaty
Brought wi-fi from Pixtopia thanks to Pixies’ services
Opened a few boutiques in districts for women who adore fashion
Built a school for Mewman children, including music class (in honor for Musica the Operetta)
Planted a few cherry blossom trees that were gifted from the Sun Kingdom
Enhanced the light poles with magic for night time
Added movie theaters and restaurants for entertainment
I have more but it would be too much to list. Mewni has a mixed culture after Star had first went to Earth when she was 14 and admired the Earth cultures so much that she wanted to bring it back to Mewni. To Marco’s case, it would feel like “home” to him.
The Sun Kingdom is based on the Empire of Japan and is an island-based kingdom that lives in water. The cherry blossom gifts is also a homage to where Japan had gifted the United States cherry blossom trees back in 1912.
