Hi. How are you? 

Well, actually, I have written you this letter to....explain a few things. Did you know that there is a saying that nobody can go back and start over, but everyone can start today and make a new ending, or something along those lines. It's pretty...obscure, but I think that before I met you, I was about to end my story. I was really confused, ya know? I was so buried in my tragic life, as some would call it, that I wasn’t thinking clearly. I couldn’t focus. But when you came into my life, I was renewed. I know I was supposed to marry Eugene, but things weren't connecting right- and I knew from the moment I saw you I was a goner. When we started out, I knew there would be a new ending. I welcomed it- the new ending, the new dream, but I was also scared. But you- you made me brave. You made me change into a whole different girl. I never wanted the story to end. We were two people strung together as if by fate, and I have never been happier. It takes a second to say I love you, but a lifetime to show it- that's another saying! Aren't sayings funny?  I thought I needed a lifetime, but I didn’t. You loved me as equally as I did you, and we were married in the shortest lifetime ever- if that counts as a lifetime? Does it? Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Anyway- you're probably wondering why I'm writing this. Where I am, why I didn't come home today. Pascal knows- he's most likely staring at you. Or he left to go think by himself. I don't know. Anyway x2. (Another saying, but with numbers) I'm writing this on behalf of Esmeralda's death. I know you've heard about it- enclosed in this envelope as well as the letter you're reading now- is the tragic announcement of her death. Well, this is where I come in. I've never encountered death. I've never been so tormented by a loss- until now. Esmeralda was one of my closest friends- she showed so much promise! And it was stolen from her. She was murdered, and she was guiltless. I know this is true. So here's what I'm going to do- I'm going to get her back. Hades likes making deals- I'm going to make a deal with him, I don't know what kind of deal, but I know he;ll be reasonable and I'll get her back. I'm hoping it won't take long and that'll I'll return to you before you even read this message- Yeah! That's what I'll plan on. But in case I don't come back for a while, just know that I love you, okay? Not that you didn't already know that- but... you know, Thomas, how dangerous Hades is. I'm not trying to scare you or make you worry- please don't. I have my frying pan, after all. I can heal myself as well- I'll be fine. But in case I'm not- plan for the unexpected, right? That's how I met you- In case I'm not, I love you so so much. I wanted you to know that. To know that right now. I'm going to miss you so much while I'm away, but the more I miss you, the more I'll love it when I see you again! So, there's that to look forward to. I'm going to see you again, okay? I'm going to see you, and when I see you again, we can sit under the gazebo and look at the stars and count all of the constellations. You're a wonder, Thomas Ballard. I'm so proud to call you my husband.
