there's honestly a lot of games i want to improve at and learn.
street fighter, of course, is a big one
super smash Bros melee too.
guilty gear strive is also the list, I'm fucking stoked for venom to be added
Tekken is also on the list, but the primary thing i want to spend time on there is really just learning to move. once i get that down then I'll practice more serious stuff like learning throw breaks and such
competitive pokemon is also there, but there's so many mons that i just have no idea what they do. when I'm playing this i have to really work on reminding myself that I'm learning. definitely am only learning vgc style (bring 6 pick 4) doubles though, i think it's the most fun format
Tetris is there too, it's just a great game and i want to be able to play competently and be able to read the screen quickly.
trackmania i just want to improve my car control, it's a really fun game and i just want to be competent on any surface.
i also want to get competent at the attack on Titan tribute game - the sequel released and the control is basically identical to the original - it's so fun and having good movement makes it even more fun.
and there's also Gunz the duel. tbh I'm not sure if i want to play against people or just learn K-Style, but it looks incredibly fun.
then there's marvel and 2xko and fighterz that i want to get some basic competence in too.
then on top of those i have my ffxiv character to maintain and raid to keep up with, as well as my wow character to keep up for mythic+
then on top of all that is the single-player/casual multiplayer games i wanna play. i think i just need to dedicate specific learning time and playing time. i think i feel like i don't have enough time when in actuality i do and I'm just paralyzed by choice

the only thing keeping me going is ao3 kudos

my street fighter play was especially bad today, but i think it was a lot of derusting. i haven't played for a few weeks and spent a lot of time today against characters i don't have a lot of experience against, so there was a lot of just not knowing what to do on top of not being confident in what buttons to press.
i also was falling for shimmies left and right, but i did recognize the pattern and catch on faster than i used to, so that was sweet. on the other hand, i didn't actually get a successful punish, since i didn't press a button that could reach (got slapped for trying jab rofflll), so that's something i need to improve.
i think next play session in gonna spend some time just getting my confirms back in shape and practicing stronger mix to open people up more. i think i need to get more c.lk usage to condition crouching more, and i need to find more opportunities for overheads. i also need to look at my replays and see what i was doing and what opportunities i had that i didn't know i had on defense, and see what options i had in situations i couldn't figure out on the fly.
i also really need to get using feng shui engine, it's so strong and I'm only holding myself back by not using it.
still, this games sick .
