I was tagged by @monkeymix to list 3 reasons I practice yoga for #thisiswhyipractice - 1. Yoga keeps me durable. I started 13 years ago and feel better inside and out today because of it. Being durable helps my other passion rock climbing. There's something about strength and grace that both yoga and climbing share. 2. Yoga teaches patience and the rewards of practice. This creates love & respect and in order to love others you gotta love yourself by taking care of yourself. 3. Relationships. I've met so many extraordinary human beings through yoga. This picture from a climbing trip this past weekend captures this- 3 yogis, 3 climbers, 3 good friends. Yoga is my community. It allows me to openly connect, share, love others and myself. Our connection to ourselves is our gateway to others. 3. Self-awareness. Yoga is an everyday practice. My practice to human. My practice to be love. My practice to be kind. My practice knowing I am enough just as I am. No expectations. No judgement. No attachment.
