🌺 "Can I have a Butterfly Needle?" 🌺 Chapter One
Chapter One of a series I decided to make at 12am with my friend @ittosbbl on call.. This is my very first ever fanfiction, so I hope you like it! :) Content: FTM (Transgender) Daisuke, Fluff, Male Reader, MLM, Snarky Banter, Tired Reader, Very short first chapter haha
Nursing, you don’t know why you chose that as your major, the workload honestly didn’t feel like it was worth it sometimes, and you never seemed to catch a break juggling your job and classes. You and Daisuke, a liberal arts major also in his sophomore year, were paired together as roommates at the beginning of your sophomore year after you had decided to switch roommates. You switched because your roommate was just frankly insufferable. He was a very socially stunted and not so hygienic IT major. Regardless, your new roommate was.. tolerable at least. You weren’t coming home to strange smells in your dorm, no snarky comments on your every move, and no debates sparked because of those annoying comments. The sink would fill up with dishes a bit quick, but it was a price to pay to be able to breathe again.
You had lab today, so you were wearing black scrubs, it was deeper into fall around now, and wearing those without extra layers was a mistake you weren’t going to make again. So, you enter your dorm, to find Daisuke on his Play Station playing Overwatch, out of every other game he could play. You walk in, take off your coat all while watching him completely sell his team in competitive. He dies, having gotten bulldozed by an Orisa. He sighs, and turns around in his shitty office chair as the kill cam plays, playing off him turning away to save his pride as him being a good roommate and greeting you. Both of you knew he wouldn’t have at all if he hadn’t died. “Hey, Y/N! You’re finally back from class, huh?” He said, leaning back in the chair lazily as he spoke. “No, I’m just visiting our dorm..” You said sarcastically, it was hard to pass up the opportunity to when he gave so many. “Oh haha very funny, asshole.” He chuckled, crossing his arms, then sighing as he stood up from the chair, gathering momentum to force himself up by bringing his arms up and then swinging them back down to his sides. He rolls forward on his heels, the upper part of his feet landing with a faint thump in the carpet. Of course, you weren’t very impressed by this. It didn’t bother you per se, but it just made you question what the purpose of doing it was. “So you needed to do that? Was simply standing up not an alternative?” You ask, unable to just leave it alone and not comment. Maybe you had a bit more in common with that annoying old roommate than you thought. “No, No I didn’t, and here you are. Still standing. On the earth. That is still spinning. Any more questions?” He responds just as snarkily, splitting up each point he made to add emphasis. You chuckle, even though you knew that would feed his ego. “Now, as I was saying, you goin’ to the supermarket? We ran out of OJ.” Daisuke said, stretching upward and yawning as he spoke. The audacity, talking about some damn orange juice as if he didn’t just watch you take your coat off and put your bag down. For a moment, you consider going, not specifically for the juice, but because you might need to restock on any other household items. Everything seems good, so you step out of your shoes. “Why don’t you just go yourself?” You respond after the faint pause, leaving your shoes by the door. Daisuke’s calm face drops into an unimpressed look, his lips pressing into a line. “Why should I if you’re already dressed?” He said, rubbing the back of his neck. “Come oonn, we’re out..” He spoke again before you could respond. “No, you’re out of OJ. I don’t drink that stuff.” You shoot back, walking over to your dresser next to your bed and taking off your scrubs. “You’re telling me we aren’t out of anything else? No TP? Dish Soap? …Mouthwash?” He said, trying to find some reason to pawn the chore off to you. You shake your head, and he puts both hands on his face, like you’ve completely disgraced him. “Oh my goooddddd bbrroooo..” He groaned to himself. You get into some comfy clothing, fleece pajama pants and the black long sleeve T-shirt you were wearing under your scrubs, and lay back onto your bed, shimmying onto the plush mattress. “If you need that OJ so damn bad, you go to the store and get it yourself.” You said, in a sigh as you got comfortable, feeling your muscles tense and relax. “By the way, while you’re out, get me a BLT and a Pepsi, thanks.” You say, sighing smugly. Daisuke, already having been distracted from whatever you were saying, puts his hands on his head. “I GOT A PENALTY?? FUCK!!” He shouts as he looks at the red banner across the screen, informing him of the penalty he got himself for remaining idle in a competitive game. “Looks like you’ve got time to go to the store, errand boy.” You sigh, smiling up at him from the mattress as he sneered down at you. 🌺
