Elephantastic #MondayMotivation shout out from conservation #wildographydudette & @printsforwildlife contributor @beverlyjoubert Even Kenya's largest tusker bulls remain alert to any potential threats when they temporarily let their guard down to drink or feed. These massive creatures – bearers of genes that produce tusks that sometimes touch the ground – are highly prized by poachers looking to cash their impressive ivory in for a substantial payload. Only a handful of these iconic giants survive today. To help these vulnerable animals (and other wildlife and communities under threat), this image is now part of the @printsforwildlife campaign – a vital initiative that provides much-needed revenue to wildlife and communities. As COVID-19 continues to affect the tourism sector, many livelihoods and wild species and spaces are at great risk. The Prints for Wildlife project brings together 150+ globally renowned wildlife photographers and emerging talents to raise vital funds through the sale of wildlife art. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to @africanparksnetwork so that they can continue to protect wildlife and deliver benefits to local communities during the pandemic.
