I know Tumblr is a hellsite to be on at times, but I don’t regret a moment of hanging around here and keeping this blog active. Because through Tumblr and fandoms I could meet some amazing people and I can’t be thankful enough for that. 

So here’s part one of a set of small winter holiday presents! Keep on rockin’ you guys, cause you’re doing a fantastic job!

It still baffles me how well we clicked together and how you became one of my closest friends. Just, I don’t know what I did right in a previous life to have met you now. Love yah!!!! So I hope I got at least the hair and the attitude right about Cas cause, like all of your babes, I can never have enough of her.

17. Their ways of expressing their love.

For Vetra it’s usually physical affection and doing things that help Thisbe out. Touch is powerful to her, to be able to hold and physically be close, is the way she feels most comfortable expressing love. She’ll also grab Thisbe’s todo lists and tackle them for her.

Thisbe expresses her love with quality time and gifts. Shutting off any connection to the Initiative and giving Vetra her undivided attention for hours, days, is the best way she can show Vetra how much she cares, along with surprising her with gifts.

18. Is there any way they disappoint each other?

Thisbe can be so goal oriented that she forgets how to people. She can be brusque and flippant and what Vetra sees as unnecessarily cold. Vetra knows people and connections are important and she can be disappointed in how Thisbe handles people sometimes.

Vetra’s smuggler persona is how she does business, and Thisbe can be disappointed when it makes an appearance in their personal lives. She likes to think they’re close enough that when Vetra’s swagger shows up, she feels she’s being pushed away. She’s disappointed when that persona shows up instead of the Vetra she’s grown close to.

27. What makes you excited about their relationship? 

It’s cheating to say “so much” but specifically I’d say the sense of protection and understanding and wanderlust they share. It makes me excited to know Vetra is loved for who she is, and not what she can do. It makes me excited to know that Thisbe will be seen and cared for as a person, instead of just a figurehead. That they both look out for each other’s well being in a world that can and will demand far too much from them. From this foundation they both flourish. Vetra learns to trust, learns to place value in herself. Thisbe learns who she is, unafraid of mistakes costing her this connection.

21. What is their song? Like the song that gives them overwhelming feelings?

Tagged by @black-rose4 to post four outfits for an OC of mine. I’ll borrow her cue and outline four of Thisbe Ryder’s looks:

Armor: Thisbe loves the Maverick Deadeye armor set. She sticks with the Initiative’s blue and white color scheme since she considers it more of a uniform than her personal kit. True to her engineer nature, she’s tinkered with it to hell and back - she’s not sure if anything of the original kit even exists. Vetra and she have spent hours at her workbench modifying it and flirting, but mostly working.

Casual: Black. Anything black. All black. Sometimes some oxblood accents but most of her casual wear is black. Moto-centric because it’s her aesthetic at this point in her life. Worn-in black t-shirts, a leather jacket, or black sweater, or black hoodie, comfy and worn-in black jeans, and a pair of big black boots. She does wear ridiculously colorful socks just because they make her happy and catch people off-guard.

Pajamas: A big, long, raglan shirt and that’s about it. She runs hot while she sleeps so it’s about the least amount of clothing she can imagine wearing while she shares space with people. When she’s home and is pretty sure the galaxy isn’t going to wake her up in the middle of her sleep cycle, she sleeps in the nude. 

Formal: Still black, but she’ll swap out her black jeans for black leather pants, or a black leather skirt over black leggings. Black t-shirts get swapped out for a white or black top with clean lines. If she’s feeling good, she’ll wear black heels or platforms. Walking into a room with Vetra on her arm, and herself standing over 6′ tall herself in heels, never gets old.

37) How much would they be willing to sacrifice for the other? Any lines they refuse to cross?

Being that this is Thisbe’s second relationship, she has a lot to learn about compromise and sacrifice and learning what battles to pick. Vetra’s a little better at it, having been in relationships before.

I think material things are easy enough for them to give up for each other, I even think time is to an extent.

I don’t think either would sacrifice their lives for the other. Vetra would never do that to Sid and Thisbe would never do that to Teddy. I don’t think either would sacrifice their basic principles or morals for the other, although Vetra might let hers bend a bit to keep Thisbe with her - the relationship seems that important by the time everything locks in.

40) Any special memories? Do they have a special place they like to go to?

The first planet they explored after Meridian. It wasn’t a particularly remarkable planet, the name was just a series of numbers, but the feeling was so different - it was so exciting. The mission was done for love of exploration instead of a race against the clock and the kett. It wasn’t a scramble to stay alive. The experience was so freeing and light and giddy.
