A random headcanon I just came up with about Jack Rose 👇:
Jack's discography is way too random. You could literally be listening to a sad song and out of nowhere, BAM!, a song with a completely different rhythm that makes you go, "WTF?"
Another thing is that Jack is incredibly experimental when it comes to creating music (in fact, he's 100% involved in the creation of his songs), making it unique and practically something his fans can connect with. Although, it has often brought him controversy, since some of his "fans" (cough, cough, haters, cough, cough) said they were fed up with his music or that he'd lost his essence, and other things. But obviously, those fans who truly love his songs defended him, and Jack didn't pay any attention to it, nor did it affect him (actually, it did affect him a little, but obviously he'll never admit it ☝🏻).
Another thing is that Jack has many unreleased songs. Some remained as ideas, others were in the middle of being created, and others were fully recorded but he was never able to release them. Or perhaps Night Swan told him they weren't appropriate and that if he wanted to release them he would have to modify them, which he refused. Therefore, those songs have never seen the light of day. However, many times at his concerts the instrumental version of one of those songs accidentally plays, and he quickly has to fix it, distracting his fans or something. But in the end, he knows that most people already have it recorded on their phones and that in just a few seconds the video will be on social media, and therefore everyone will know of the song's existence, even though it's just a short clip.
And finally, there are two cases of "lost media," and in both cases, his fans know about them (because Jack told them) and in the other, they noticed it themselves.
The first instance of "Lost Media" occurred when Jack revealed during a concert that while working on some songs on his computer, which he planned to include on one of his upcoming albums, he accidentally deleted the file containing them, and practically everything was lost. He eventually managed to recover them, so those songs were likely to be released. However, he never brought up the subject again, and the songs were never shown, being replaced by new ones. Nobody knows the reason, but they still maintain hope of one day seeing that lost material.
The second example of "Lost Material" is that there was a time when Jack planned to release a trilogy of albums. The first two were released, but the third never materialized. This seemed strange to everyone, as Jack even performed some songs that were supposedly going to be part of the album as surprise encores at some of his concerts, but for unknown reasons, it was never released. In fact, some time later, someone leaked some images of what the album was supposed to look like, and they even discovered the song titles, but nothing more. Over time, the songs were released as singles or on different albums, some with altered titles, but fans recognized them because they reminded them of the first two albums of the trilogy, and that's when they realized they belonged to the unreleased third album. In fact, some fans have even tried to reconstruct what that album might have sounded like.
And he wonders, yes, Jack is aware that the trilogy he planned to make was never completed, and in fact he has thought about picking it up again and finally finishing what he started, although with everything that happens in his life, he doubts it a lot, so in the meantime everything he assumed that album would be will remain "Lost Material".
