21. Should [insert league here] expand? If so, where do you want the next team?
since the pwhl just expanded, i'll just be talking about the nhl here. personally i'm not a huge fan but i def think they should expand into canada and NOT the US like they're trying to do now. not enough canadian teams (only 7 out of the 32..... unserious). i am not well-versed on big canadian hockey towns so if anyone wants to elaborate on that in the replies feel free to
22. What is your most hockey player–esque habit irl?
other than my tendency to basically say "we need to put pucks in the fucking net boys" during games (one example of many here) i guess i'd say my truly insane superstitions. like i am unhealthily superstitious on gamedays (but only for me, i am just neurotic)
23. What is one overused question you wish you could make beat reporters stop asking?
SO MANY. if i had to pick just one, it'd be the "so what do you have to do to win tonight?". ik it's hard to think of questions in the moment (as someone who is studying to do this job specifically) but come on. also just in general, i see a lot of questions posed to players that (in my opinion) would be better answered by coaches and vice versa, like you won't be able to get clickbait-ey headlines out of these guys but you can get actual, good information if you just ASK THE RIGHT PEOPLE (not to mention my general disdain of trying to weasel out headlines from players + coaches, this may work in any other sport but not fucking hockey, just stop trying and ask actual questions instead of wasting everyone's time)
