T-1000′s cover was blown by T-800 via the dog. The dog was terminated and the T-800 would be next. This required a third plan. 

Sarah Connor lived in an asylum. If T-1000 replaced Sarah, John would eventually visit and could be terminated then. T-1000 needed the address.

T-1000 found John’s room. It was cluttered with mysterious things. Vision was not T-1000′s best sense: touch was.

Hands ran over everything. Methodically, feeling the insides from the outsides. Density, composition. Cold aquarium, soft blanket. Wall, solid, solid – hollow.

T-1000 tore a poster off, revealing a collection of letters and photographs.
