June had made several marked improvements since her arrival to Special Forces, since her first time apparently saving the realms, the multiverse… It felt odd to her, saving a world she's never engaged with, people she somewhat resented. The world had turned her back on her the day she was born, she had no reason to save it other than it being her job, other than it being an order she must follow or else. Still, she felt some… Satisfaction in her achievements, and better yet, found people within Special Forces she trusted and cared about. She had a space, even an identity outside of science and it felt... good. That didn't mean a full recovery, granted. She still struggled sleeping, her mind still slipped into traumatic states, and her body was worn by exhaustion and experimentation in ways that couldn't be reversed. She was frail, she was lonely, and she still wasn't free. But she felt, for once in her life, okay.
Another day dawns, another new adventure, another strange newcomer. All she heard about him was that he was an officer of the law, that he had crossed into this world to apprehend Kano, who caused trouble wherever he went. In the meantime, this officer had agreed to assist Special Forces in exchange for their help. She didn't imagine she'd see him very much, and newcomers were always a mixed bag.
That was until she saw him. "June, I'd like you to meet Officer Alex Murphy, Robocop. Murphy, this is June. Resident brainiac."
She had to look up to meet his eyes, she was the smallest of the younger officers at Special Forces, and clearly not one equipped for a physical fight. But she was mesmerized, eyes like a stormy sea gazing up at what appeared to be a cybernetic knight in shining armor. "June?" "Yes? Ah, yes, sorry… Hello, it is very nice to meet you, Officer Murphy." As is customary, she extended her arm for him to shake, she even gave a polite, yet timid, smile.
