I like to think the Calamity flashbacks in LoVM are actually the result of Zerxus's memories getting warped after a thousand years in the Hells. (After all, memory can be extremely unreliable-so what would happen to one's memories after a thousand years serving the devil?)

oohhh this is a cool interpretation!! yeah, i've mostly been reading tlovm as a sort of AU of the original canon, but this is a cool way to merge the two... Zerxus's memory had already been messed around with in the original canon, so maybe he's even more susceptible to it because of that?
