I sorta have a Bill headcanon that pertains to the relationship of Bill and Stanford
So, everybody who's been to therapy for anxiety or has common therapy knowledge knows that touching things grounds a person, yes? How repetitive motions like rubbing a rock or those fidget cubes helps with grounding a person in the present moment?
What if Bill decided to forgo touch with most things/people for literally millions if not billions of years in order to separate himself from his traumas? I mean, he floats everywhere. The closest thing I can think of him touching is 1. Himself 2. People when he's trying to manipulate, and 3. Rare instances you could argue when he wanted to feel grounded in the moment. (Capturing/killing Dipper and Mabel, Sitting directly on the human flesh couch while with Stanford, etc)
The only thing that really escapes those three things is Stanford Pines.
I would argue that the only reason he would ever want to touch any person is to get them attached to himself, cause touch is a common way to get quickly attached to somebody. But in doing so, he accidentally makes them feel real to him. I'd even argue he regularly avoids touch to make things feel less real to himself so that way he doesn't have to consider the consequences of his actions.
In conclusion, Bill is touch-starved and basically not only fell in love with Stanford Pines, but did so accidentally while trying to con the man. Bill only conned himself in the long run.
