Jazz singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum will be performing in Bath for the second time this year as part of a fundraising concert organised by his father.

John Cullum is this year's High Sheriff of Somerset and is organising the concert to support local charities.

Jamie will be headlining at the event at Bath Abbey, which will also include a performance by the Silver Ring Choir of Bath, of which his mum Yvonne is a member. The jazz singer and the Silver Ring also played alongside each other at The Forum recently.

Money raised from the event will go towards the official High Sheriff's charity Somerset Crimebeat, which was launched in 1998 and aims to give young people the opportunity to help combat crime in the community.

Mr Cullum has also chosen two other charities, the Forever Friends Appeal at the Royal United Hospital, which he chairs, and the Quartet Community Foundation.

It is the first year that the High Sheriff of Somerset's concert has taken place in Bath.

Mr Cullum said: "It should be a great evening of jazz and choral music, with all the funds going towards worthy charities.

"I am very grateful to everyone who is helping bring this wonderful concert together."
