Float • Myk Martinez It seemed like such a simple concept, brush strokes of paint floating, casting shadows, minimalism. It was not. Color choice was the first issue. Then painting the right strokes so they would actually look like something. Balancing the strokes on the page. Casting the shadows was also hard. Trying to match my original strokes. So frustrating. But, I think it turned out pretty cool. Some people won’t consider it art. But the people who do… get it.
