Saiki Kusuo no Sainan chapter 4

ok so we all know that at this point saiki has a soft spot for children, as the anime watchers might know from his interaction with iridatsu yuuta. he always complains about having to babysit him but the way he ends up naturally being so affectionate is so…. (combusts)

fun fact, iridatsu yuuta’s name comes from the term astral projection in japanese love him for that xx

But!!!

I think it was in one of the episodes in reawakened, I don’t remember which one, Saiki actually has another encounter with a child! I can’t really find any clips or pics of it from pinterest or somewhere else, I feel like people just completely ignored reawakened bcs the dub isn’t up to their expectations… so I went to the manga!

here, we can see that Saiki, Nendou, and Kaidou found a girl crying in the streets because she lost her dog. Nendou and Kaidou went to go look for it themselves, and at first Saiki honestly couldn’t care less about the girl and her dog so he wanted to just go home already.

until!!!! this happened!!!! he couldn’t just ignore her hopeful gaze like that. idk how people can say he doesn’t care about anyone bcs he literally always goes out of his way to help everyone!!!!!!! (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀)

and before someone says he helped bcs he didn’t want those two making even more trouble, he literally said this so NUH UH!!! (loud incorrect buzzer sound)

at the end, he found her dog. here, Saiki actually looks like he’s genuinely happy for her for reuniting with her dog. and he smiled too!!! you can’t tell me someone who hates children would look that glad after helping them???

Conclusion

honestly there’s no need for me to reiterate one by one everything that had happened in this chapter but i really just want people to stop calling saiki an emotionless guy who hates everyone. no!!! i feel like its so obvious even in the anime—that he genuinely cares for his friends, but somehow i still have fools whispering in my ear calling him incapable of emotions… he just rarely shows those emotions, and im telling you all to go read the manga because he’s so much funnier and acts so silly there, like a real, awkward teenage boy. ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

i dont even know if i spelled his obsession superhero correctly, but this post is about Iridatsu Yuuta—saiki’s neighbor! and its going to be pretty short!

my friend said she hates him. every time he appears on the screen, she would leave the room and only return once i told her that he’s gone (no, this isn’t an exaggeration). at first, i too, hated him because he’s so god damn loud i always had to turn down the volume and tune out his screams. i literally only kept watching so i could tell my friend when to come back.

but the second i saw saiki subtly cares for him, it feels like the maternal instinct inside me just kicked in. mind you, i literally hated him at first, but somehow, someway, i ended up actually thinking he was adorable!

yeah. i dont know if its biology or what, but i always end up smiling ear to ear every time he appears.

probably because i see saiki acting like a big brother—or a dad, to him. we rarely see him be so affectionate in the anime bcs they tried so hard to make him look aloof (he’s such an unreliable narrator) so yuuta’s appearance almost always guarantees that we’ll see that caring side of his! and its just too cute i seriously wanna give him my babies... saiki, lets have seven… my lucky number…

i just cant help it, i love these fictional men so much and i equally love the author or writer, whoever made them, too. my dream in life is to be able to kiss their asses to thank them for creating my eternal boyfriends. even if the fandom, the author, and i too, dies, they will forever live on in my consciousness’ favorite haven. <3

right now, my current hyperfixation—if it isn’t obvious enough already—is Saiki K. having the type of greed they talk about in the bible in my heart, i dated every male characters there in my head (yes, even Nendou) but i DO have two current favorite bfs!

1. Saiki Kusuo

of course he’s number one, he’s literally the main character and the first hot guy i’ve seen in the series. jk i love him the most out of everyone because oooh i have SOOOO much to talk about when it comes to him, but i love every part of him. his powers, his flaws, his traits, down to his emotionally constipated or pathetically simping over an average dude side, i love everything about him. need i remind you all (not that any of you might realize) but each time i made a post about him i tagged #kusuokisser because… well, i am! ＼＼\٩(๑`^´๑)۶//／／

there’s just something so inherently adorable about him. even those awkward standing poses he does in the background, the way he thought he was nonchalant but is actually, possibly, just another anxiously awkward teenager, he’s just too cute!!! i think he might be on the spectrum, and i believe many others also thinks this way especially if they read the manga because he’s just so… silly… but its alright i love that autistic man. ♪(´ε｀ )

i feel like manga saiki is so much cuter and rounder and softer too, like look at him??? i could easily put him in my pockets and carry him around. who cares if i accidentally sit on him, he has superstrength anyway! (>__<°)

oh but of course! how can we forget! he’s so!!! soso sooo so handsome!!!!!!!!!! i rarely use the word ‘handsome’, i don’t know why it feels different than using the word ‘attractive’ which i can easily throw around to even a triangle head guy, but i wont hesitate to call saiki kusuo handsome. yes, full government name, because im being fully serious. he has this boyish charm? but still sharp in the best way possible. he could be the coolest person ever and still be called cute (by me). i thank god every day that the author of this manga was alive to create such a masterpiece of a character…

story-wise, his character development is beautiful. the way he went from calling himself the unhappiest boy alive, hating his friends, thinking his powers are a burden, to end up genuinely caring for his friends, and coming to terms to being a psychic… oh, you don’t understand how happy i am when he’s happy. i want him to be forever happy. ♡

2. Kuboyasu Aren

okay now how can we forget our favorite ex-delinquent, possibly a criminal on the run, goody-two-shoes-pretending Aren?? i don’t think people had a big enough reaction when he appeared, where’s mariah carey belting in front of the classroom about giving him her all just to be with him? where’s the editors with the most, shamelessly diabolical edits of him to cupcakke songs? where’s the clippers putting a 0.2 seconds clip of a 500x zoomed in of him in the corner, as long as he was in the frame anyway??

as a matter of fact, where was the girls in the PK Academy??? he was canonically the best looking one in the friend group, he’s strong, muscular, cutesy, tries to act like an innocent “goody-goody” but ended up making a fool of himself, sometimes picks up the wrong social cues and ended up smashing the wall over a single eye contact, and once again, cute??? i fear if i were there, he wouldn’t have peace. like, ever.

sure, he may have unsorted anger issues, foul mouth, a bit too easy to raise his hand—in an abusive way, picks fights everywhere he goes, quite harsh, vandalized, participated in violence (serial), can easily beat people up—including me, his nickname being a literal murder weapon, allegedly have brutally murdered a cop, has ties with gangs and the back alley, committed other crimes as well, but so what?? he’s just a cutesy teenage boy!! actually, he’s my cutesy teenage boy!!!（≧∇≦）

anyway, i seriously don’t understand how he can be so underrated in the anime AND in the fandom, i would’ve actually sent him a real love letter. despite all his past that’s a bit… um, brutal, to say the least, he tries really hard to reform and become a normal high schooler. even if he fails. and he’s arguably the kindest one there too! he earnestly wants to study and live an honest life, how is that not cute to you???? one of the reason why i fell in love with him is because he has a good sense of leadership according to season 2 episode 6 (yes, i remember the exact episode bcs im so in love with him there). the way he calmly delegates everyone to their tasks and leads the team, fires everyone up…

oh, and he’s really handsome, teehee. i need him in such a horrendous way it might set feminism back a hundred years guys… sorry not sorry. :p

and the MOST IMPORTANT part, he has good morals and values. he still has lots more than this, but these three views are what i love the most from him. he keeps his promises, respects women, and only has eyes for one woman in his life, meaning that he’d never cheat or be abusive to his girl. hearing those words spoken out of him, just who wouldn’t fall in love? be realistic here. he truly deserves a real love letter, i’d write a ten-page one for him. shameless, idc!!

but lowkey he isn’t getting to 21 with no kids with how passionate he was, he literally was ready to drop out to marry a girl… (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`) and i’ll definitely be the mother of his children.
