I just remembered an old Digimon fic concept I had and never did anything with. Now, I came up with this way back when as an early teen, so this was way before Tri canonized the original chosen children.
My idea was a Dark Masters backstory where the Dark Masters are so powerful specifically because they were the Digimon partners of the original chosen children but, in the aeons that passed from the Digital World's perspective since their human partners left, they'd forgotten who they used to be and were corrupted by Apocalymon's influence. I never used the idea because I didn't have a plot to go with it and so I never settled on what happened to their fifth member. Now, when I remembered this old idea, I thought: "what if it's Piccolomon and they're the only one who remembers what they all used to be?" and that was just so delightfully angsty I wanted to share this old idea of mine thay could only work as an AU these days.

What are those holes on the snoot of the python for?
They’re called heat pits! They’re used to sense where prey is and hunt it, cause their eyesight is piss poor 😭 they can “see” where the prey is via those weird little holes!
Here’s a cool article explaining them!
[id: 1st picture; Second Breakfast, the yellow and white ball python, skrunkled up against the glass of her enclosure, 2nd picture, Dizzy, the cream and brown ball python, poking her head out of her hide]
To fight for a cause had always felt important to Astoria. When you believed in something, passionately, you fought for it, and that was exactly what she had been doing. For years now, she had been writing articles, trying, in her small ways, to give her portrayals of werewolves in a different light, something that didn’t portray them as bloodthirsty beasts, their only goal being to kill and transform as many people as possible. It seemed to have been working for a while, but then all the different werewolf attacks started picking up, more and more people dying, more and more people getting hurt. As much as she felt it was the right thing to be fighting, a part of her had started doubting her own opinions, her own beliefs.
There had just been so many attacks during the last year, so many families torn apart, so many people who had died from being attacked by a werewolf. The inkling of doubt had snuck into her head little by little over the span of the year, but the deciding factor on the doubt settling had been when her and Lennox had snuck out into the woods and had run into a man on the verge of turning into a werewolf. While transforming, he had gone in for the attack, scratching her arm. Had Lennox not lost it completely and attacked back, things might have gone so much worse. They both could have gotten killed right there in the woods, but Lennox had saved them both, while seriously hurting the man - the werewolf.
Ever since that day in the woods, Astoria had felt as though she had been fighting for a lie, she felt like perhaps she had been working toward the wrong goal, she had placed her passion on the wrong side. Perhaps she should have placed it elsewhere.
More and more frequently, Astoria had found comfort in the bottom of a bottle, drinking alcohol to lessen the fear and doubt that she was feeling. On Hogsmeade weekends, she often found herself sat in a corner booth at the Hog’s Head, sipping slowly on a butterbeer, a shot of firewhiskey waiting for her on the table. The owner had started recognising her now, pouring up her drinks as she walked into the pub, giving her a nod of acknowledgement as she took her seat. Hair put up in a bun, she took her usual seat as the barkeep brought over her drinks, but this day, Astoria went straight for the shot of firewhiskey, downing the strong liquid in one go. Lost in thought, her gaze traveled across the pub, and a pair caught her attention. They were both intoxicated, speaking loudly, making wild gestures as they drank their alcohol. Tori’s gaze settled on the pair, a skinny man with a lot of hair, he almost looked like he could be a professor, his appearance struck her as a little nerdy. His gestures were the most extreme, he was gesticulating while speaking quickly to his female companion. The female was a beautiful woman, with long, silver hair. Even while seated, the woman looked short beside her friend.
“Stop! Stop! He doesn’t sound like that,” the female said, laughing out loud.
“He so does, and if you weren’t half in love with him, you’d admit it!” Astoria recognised this sort of conversation, two friends talking about their crushes. It made her smile, thinking back to her own conversations with her friends at Hogwarts.
The blush on the silver haired females cheeks was obvious now. She told her friend to shut up, and they both started laughing. Their conversation really wasn’t the most intriguing, so Astoria’s attention moved elsewhere as the pair laughed. But then the man said something that caught her attention.
“Kinda weird being back at Hogwarts though, don’t you think?”
Hogwarts? The two of them were for sure too old to be students, Astoria had not seen either of them before, and she had been at Hogwarts for the past seven years. And they weren’t professors or working at the school. So who were these two people? And why were they at Hogwarts? Even while slightly inebriated, her instincts kicked in to dig and find out more about what they were talking about. Careful not to raise any suspicion, she picked up her drink and moved to a booth closer to where the pair was sitting, sitting with her back to them so they wouldn’t see her curious face. Sipping slowly at her beer, she sat back and listened.
“Or maybe you’re not complaining because you’re locked up with Lysander, sleeping two hammocks over,” the male voice was speaking now, back to the playful teasing. But the teasing wasn’t what was catching her attention now, it was the fact that they were talking about being at Hogwarts. Were they somehow sleeping at Hogwarts? The dungeons had been closed for a long time now, but why? Perhaps this had something to do with it. The pair were laughing again, and a silence followed the laughter.
“Seriously though, Vi… I’m worried about him. You’ve seen how much he’s been drinking, right?” Why did that name sound familiar to her, Astoria was so sure that she had heard Lysander before, but she could not place it.
“We’re all struggling, it’s why we’re here ourselves, Knox. It’s hard, being back in the castle,” the female voice said, and Astoria tried her best not to have a visible reaction, staying natural, drinking from her glass. So they definitely were inside the castle, that much was becoming clear. But why were they in the castle, and where were they staying, what were they doing there?
“You know what I mean.” The man, Knox, said. A thick, tension filled silence followed. Astoria was almost holding her breath. “It’s getting worse for him.”
“Yeah, I know. But-- you can’t say anything, you know what he’s like. Maybe we could say something to Henry.” All these names, these two faces, and Tori could not place any of them.
“Maybe.” The pair of them fell quiet for awhile, and the Gryffindor was afraid to breathe, afraid to move. There were a lot of people at the pub that evening, it was loud, but she felt the silence hang heavy on her shoulders. Not being able to see the two of them, she was almost certain that the silence was due to her being caught listening in on their conversation. Acting had never been her strong suit, but she tried her hardest to seem normal, drinking from her glass, attempting to remain inconspicuous.
“Do you think we’re actually going to make a difference?” The female asked, her name was Vi, that much she had gathered. Astoria tried not to sigh visibly from relief. She had not been caught snooping yet, but it was only a matter of time. Her moving from her original seat had been suspicious enough, but she was trying to not look suspicious, drinking from her glass, but she felt like she needed to do more to hide what she was up to. An old newspaper laid on the table, so she reached for it and flipped it open, pretending to read as she zoomed back in on the conversation happening behind her.
“Hard to say. I think we can’t do harm, that’s what I keep telling myself. We’re not doing anything wrong or making things worse.” It was the man speaking this time, and Astoria was practically at the edge of her seat, listening. What were they doing at Hogwarts? And what were they doing that they claimed wouldn’t be making things worse. The pub was rowdy and loud that night, they weren’t being careful keeping their conversation quiet, but that was the reason why she could listen in.
The female, Vi, was the next to speak. “I guess. I just wish we could do more, you know? Help those kids somehow. Tell them what’s actually going on.” So whatever this group of people was at Hogwarts for, it was for the students. It had to have something to do with the werewolves and the attacks, right? Thinking about it, Astoria’s hand fell to her forearm. It was hidden underneath her sweater, but the bandages were itching still, the wounds were taking their sweet time healing. She could barely even look at them, it was a reminder that what she was fighting for might not be worth her energy and passion. The werewolf that attacked in the forest had been raving on about her and Lennox believing themselves to be above other, but in her case, at least, that wasn’t the case. It really wasn’t the case at all.
“I heard Henry talk about that, but Lysander shut him down pretty hard…” Knox started, but was soon interrupted by Vi.
“Lysander will never let innocent children get involved. He cares too much.”
“And Lowell doesn’t care are all…”
Astoria almost turned around then, hearing the Ministers name, but at that moment, a man came flying onto the table she was sitting at, having her spill her glass of butterbeer down the front of her blouse. The man grunted in pain as Astoria jumped up from her seat, barely seeing a second man jump onto the man on the table to continue fighting with him. A bar fight, perfect. Turning around to look at the table where Vi and Knox were sitting, she found it empty. The pair of them had disappeared once the fight broke out, Tori couldn’t see them anywhere in the pub. An older lady came over to with a napkin, offering it to her, and she smiled as she accepted it, her gaze still wandering over the pub to see if she could find the two strangers. They were nowhere to be seen.
Getting herself fixed up, she decided to put on her coat and walk back to the castle. Her mind was buzzing with information, but in her slightly drunken state, she struggled putting the information into context. The dungeons had been closed for a while now, and they had never been told for what reason. Perhaps because this Lysander person was there, with some of his friends, or co-workers, were there. Vi, Knox, and this Henry person. Those were the names she had heard mentioned. Then there was the Minister for Magic, Lowell. According to Knox, he didn’t care about the students at Hogwarts, while Lysander did. But where had Astoria heard that name before, Lysander?
Stumbling slightly over her feet as she walked up the cobbled road towards Hogwarts, barely noticing where she was walking. The first thing she would do when she came back to her dorm was to write down everything she had overheard, the next step would be to tell someone she trusted about what she had heard. But who could she trust with this information at Hogwarts?
Ino and Sai both wear crop tops in Naruto Shippuuden, but only Ino wears one in Boruto. This means that their relationship is under the rule of only one (1) crop top per household. So, one of two things must have happened.
Either
1) Sai and Ino competed for the right to be the one with the crop top and Ino was victorious
or
2) Sai gave Ino the crop top privileges as a way of expressing his love for her.
Actually, a theme in Yu Yu Hakusho that doesn’t get brought up a lot is that Yusuke is kind of looking for a father figure during many points in the series. He’s awful with authority, especially male authority, due to the dehumanizing comments made by his teachers, but he does look up to a lot of older males despite that.
First there’s Takenaka. Takenaka was the first person to believe Yusuke was more than a waste of space, and Yusuke’s never too rude when talking back at him. However, there’s also the aspect of their interactions that it’s Takenaka’s job to encourage and look after Yusuke, so Yusuke would hate to burden him and couldn’t really rely on him as a support because of that. In addition to that, the two were from completely different worlds, as Takenaka is an educator and Yusuke hates school. Takenaka is well-intentioned, but he doesn’t understand Yusuke.
The second paternal figure seen in the show was Toguro. In this case, Toguro very much lives in Yusuke’s world, and Yusuke himself admits that he could have at one point seen himself growing up to be like Toguro. However, Toguro is not a good person. He’s not a role model to be emulated and he’s certainly not someone Yusuke could rely on, regardless of how the man tried to give Yusuke advice on how to reach his full potential as a warrior. In another world that might not have been the case, as even Genkai herself muses, but the theme with Toguro is very much that he gave up on living his life long ago.
While Yusuke doesn’t connect with him on any level, Sensui’s appearance in the show further showcases Yusuke’s disappointment with who Toguro ended up being. Sensui is another example of the “road not taken” in Yusuke’s selection of life choices but, after clashing with Toguro, Yusuke has grown comfortable with himself and his choices, which is why Yusuke doesn’t even listen to Sensui’s attempts to sway him. However, presented in Sensui is another danger in Yusuke’s path that doesn’t get acknowledged; the self-reliant warrior who didn’t make it. Sensui is a prime example of a young man who didn’t rely on anyone and ended up becoming twisted because of that lack of trust.
Regardless of his victories, after his transformation into a demon, Yusuke feels uncertain about his place in the world once more, this time not even feeling comfortable in his own skin. Raizen was the only one Yusuke could turn to, the only older demon who reached out to Yusuke with understanding of what he was now. However, Raizen was distant with Yusuke until his final moments, when he finally opened up, and functioned more as a goal to reach for Yusuke than a pillar of support. Raizen was too focused on his goals to really give the people in his life attention.
Hokushin is Raizen's primary enforcer. Because of this, Yusuke first meets him rather than Raizen and he functions as the middleman between Raizen and Yusuke. Despite this connection, Hokushin is more similar to Genkai than Raizen. Hokushin is Yusuke's primary mentor during the last arc, guiding him along and knocking him around until he surpasses Hokushin in strength. After that, he remains as Yusuke's support and confidant, helping him make his own decisions even when he doesn't agree with them. To him, Yusuke reaching his full potential is the most important goal to focus on. Out of all of Yusuke's paternal figures, Hokushin is the only one who never lets him down and understands him the best.
What I'm saying is that, while it took him a while, Yusuke did find a father figure on his journey. It was the man who was more supportive and proud of him than anyone's ever been.
tldr; Hokushin is Yusuke’s dad and anyone who disagrees can meet me in the pit.

Are they technically aliens though? I mean, I get what you mean but their current selves were born and raised on Earth with Earthen parents and have never lived anywhere else.
The show is very vague on the finer details of the whole reincarnation thing. The girls definitely have Gone Native and the recovery of their past memories didn’t make them devalue their new lives as earthlings and they do identify as such, with how they call others “aliens”. The show isn’t even clear on how much the girls remember and how much they consider their past selves themselves.
However, there are some hints on the girls being “other” on some level. The Inner Senshi are very much fine with putting their mundane lives on hold for their Princess, for all that they hope they’ll be able to pursue other things on the side of supporting their Princess. The girls either didn’t have friends outside of those in the know, or they drop their old friends in favour of hanging among the Sailor Team even on their spare time. They very openly treat Usagi as their number one priority with the dedication fitting of their former status as the royal guard, which is not something modern teenage girls do. That has to, at least on some level, be their Senshi duty and past lives influencing their values.
Then there’s the scene in the latest episode. None of them say they have to defend Earth because it’s their home. It’s their planet, their city and their treasure. It’s valuable to them as the people they are now, but it’s not their place of origin.
The way I see it, the Sailor Team’s current selves are basically fusions of their past lives and their lives before being awakened as Sailor Soldiers. They never would have become these people we see at the end of the show if those past memories hadn’t been awakened but that doesn’t mean they just became their past selves and forsook who they were before.
Starting chronologically, in terms of Hiei's personal timeline, his first memory is of him being rejected, unwanted, as he was tossed off a cliff because the ice apparitions thought everyone would be better off with him dead. Right after this event, he was discovered by bandits, who saw his potential to be useful, due to how powerful he was even as a baby. Then, when Hiei became too violent for their tastes, the other bandits turned their backs on Hiei. Once again, Hiei was rejected, despite being useful. He wasn't wanted even here.
This explains why Hiei often behaves hesitant, even over things he wants and knows he needs. He knew he needed to recover after his Jagan surgery but by this point he'd learned that, no matter what, he'd wear out his welcome eventually. Even if someone offered to put him up, they could rescind that offer at any point when they decided they didn't want Hiei around anymore. Shigure saw Hiei's hesitation and he saw through his blustering, which is why he offered Hiei the sword lessons as an added incentive/excuse. Because Shigure promised Hiei sword lessons, it didn't matter if he suddenly decided he didn't want Hiei around anymore, he'd still owe Hiei those sword lessons. This also gave Hiei a safety net of sorts; he knew he'd be welcome for as long as Shigure was still in the process of teaching Hiei these lessons.
As soon as Hiei recovered, he tracked down the floating island of the ice apparitions and discovered that his mother was dead as well as that his sister had disappeared. At this point Hiei was no longer burning with hatred, as he spared Rui's life even as she voiced her desire for death. Here Hiei first starts truly showing his new defeatist attitude. He has clear memory of his birth, so he remembers his mother pleading for his return. Now the only person who ever wanted Hiei was dead, and he felt that his arrival at the village was purposeless. His new goal then became to find his sister and make sure she was safe.
Then complications arose. Hiei got into trouble in the human world, which sidetracked him from his main goal. Hiei mentioned he didn't join the Spirit Detective squad for a pardon, but because he wanted to fight Yusuke again. However, at this point he must have discovered that, in the human world, the Spirit World had power and resources that he could use to locate his sister. Playing nice with them was the logical thing to do, even if it left him as a babysitter to the fledgling human warriors.
The Saint Beasts arc is the most important arc for Hiei's character development. During this arc, Kurama gets visibly surprised by how different Hiei starts acting partway through. This is because, during this arc, Hiei discovered emotional openings in himself that let the human teammates in. First was the gate challenge, where the point was to create a trap that tempted one of the group to betray the others. It was designed to create distrust and to break apart any group coming in to invade the castle. And then Yusuke defies their opponents', and Hiei's, expectations by placing his trust in Hiei. A lack of trust was what caused Hiei to be abandoned for the second time in his life, and now Yusuke offered his trust to Hiei without needing anything from Hiei first. It was almost like being wanted.
And then there's Kuwabara. You all know I pay special attention to how Hiei acts towards and around Kuwabara and in this arc we get all the reasons for it. Hiei started off barely acknowledging Kuwabara's presence. He didn't know anything about him but that he was human and so Hiei has no reason to think too much of it; powerful psychics are rare in this day and age. But then they encounter Byakko, who brings out a lot of the stronger and more admirable aspects of Kuwabara's personality. Hiei had been expecting him and Kurama to do most of the fighting, but Kuwabara stepped up, wanted to carry his own weight and wanted to contribute to the group effort. And he didn't stop until the fight was done, even when it dragged on and exhausted him. The Byakko episodes are the ones where we first really see that Kuwabara simply doesn't tire out completely. Ever. He always manages to find more energy to keep going, although it's only around the Dark Tournament that the other characters start to notice this.
I will also point out that before the Byakko fight is the only time in the entire show where Hiei implies that the group doesn't need Kuwabara's input. After that Hiei never voices that Kuwabara shouldn't fight due to being the least lethal member of the group. It's true, but Hiei doesn't think it diminishes Kuwabara's value to the team. In fact, Hiei even contributes to Kuwabara's training regime for the Dark Tournament, before Kurama takes over because Hiei was too "soft". During the Saint Beasts arc, Hiei grows protective of Kuwabara, but not overly so. This is because Hiei can relate with Kuwabara's desire to fight, to be useful to his teammates and friends, not because they'd drop him if he didn't, but because he wants to do this for them, because they all want to be together. Kuwabara's living the kind of life Hiei wants and, rather than be bitterly jealous about it, Hiei sticks to Kuwabara like glue, observing him and interacting with him.
