Thin bones and Ice hearts | Self Para
Cat sighed in the Doctor's waiting office. It was eerily quietly in this place, she could hear each strike of the doomed clock that was above her. "tick...tock...tick...tock" she bit down on her lower lip, she was dreading this check up. She had stopped eating again. She didn't know why, she just wanted control of some things. She hated how everyone called her 'that stupid red head'. She could be more than that, she could be a strong girl, a smart girl.
Her mind wandered as she remembered when she was a young girl, happy constantly, eating sugary snacks all the time. She hated how everyone looked at her, so now she just wanted to be perfect. If she couldn't be that intelligent girl everyone respected, she could attempt to be prettier, sexier, nicer. She closed her eyes, waiting for her name to be called.
"Caterina Valentine" was boomed across the room from a portly nurse. Cat looked up and sighed and chirped up in her usual voice "It's Cat" she smiled and jumped up, following the woman into a small room. Moments later a lady Doctor entered and asked her a few routine questions and then asked her to step on the scales. She had lost a lot of weight. The Doctors steely blue eyes stared her down as she asked the dreaded question..."Cat, have you stopped eating again?".
Cat looked down and shrugged "I mean ,I try, I eat Bibble but then I feel sad and want to stop and then I'm not hungry" she sighed heavily, "I'm sorry, I'll try harder".
She had no intentions of trying harder, she just wanted to be perfect, as she felt her ribs point out of her skin like knifes, she left the Doctor's Clinic and walked her thin pegs that she calls legs down the cold path, further down the path of her past.
