On Thursday, January 29th, an important message was given to our roleplayers about the current (in)activity issue that TH was facing. The roleplay was given a little over a week for things to change, and for the first few days, things were looking good: we had good feedback, we saw more people on the dash and we had four new roleplayers join the group...

However, today is Sunday, February 8th 2015 - the day of our deadline, and our goal has not been fully realized.

Although the first 3-4 days were decent, the end of the week provided a steady decline reminiscent of the pattern of low activity we have been experiencing lately, despite all the members who are still around. There were even spans of a few hours where only one person would be online. Today's activity check only seemed to confirm these concerns. Even if people are still roleplaying on the dash, it isn't enough to maintain the group dynamic we were so proud of here at TH. And as was said on every activity check in the past, "activity is more than coming online every two-three days just to do a round of replies before leaving again, simply to secure your role" (Thursday, Jan. 29th).

Beyond roleplaying on the dash though, the lack of activity made administrative duties more difficult for us, since we received very little feedback from our rpers regarding the changes being made to TH. This made the task less motivating for us in terms of knowing whether the revamp (graphics overhaul, reposts, etc.) was even worth it.

After almost two years and many great memories along the way, it is with heavy hearts that we now announce: The Hamptons Supernatural RolePlay is officially closed... Maybe this is just a 'see you later', but for now, we will be dismantling.

To our current roleplayers: Those of you who have had your roles for a long time and have formed attachments to your characters: If you wish to keep them, please contact me to let me know - Don't just rip off a character or the roleplay in order to continue. As many of these are my characters, I reserve the right to know if you plan on continuing with them. I'll gladly let you keep them as indies (I'll remain with Sofia as an indie-rper myself), but just please come and speak with me first.

It was a long journey and both myself and Admin X are sad to see it come to an end for now. Still, we wish you all the very best and thank you all sincerely for the pleasure and the honour of roleplaying with each and every one of you. You are an amazing group of roleplayers and writers, and your portrayal of the characters were often better than I could ever have envisioned.

 With January coming to an end, it's time to decide which three characters will stand as the Most Wanted Characters of February!

 It is requested to our roleplayers to send a message/fanmail/submit to TH's Inbox with the names of the three most wanted characters they would like to see taken.

 On Sunday, February 1st, we will inform you of the ones that got most votes, publishing the charts on our OOC Blog.

If by any chance there aren't characters with more votes than the others, will be chosen by the admin from the list of roles presented by the rplers, the three roles

If we don't have enough names to choose from our rplers list, the roles will be chosen by the admin from the MWC list presented on the slide-navi

 Thank you for giving your opinion, either it was on the ooc blog or privately, I can guarantee you that (maximum) until the end of the weekend you will be informed of the final decision. This to give space to the people that started returning yesterday, and hopefully keep returning during the week, to vote if they wish to do it.

 Has you all know, the time to roleplay that night was supposed to end tonight. Due to a few requests and thinking about the subject, it was decided that we would extend the time to RP the Christmas Ball.

 The casual conversations can be rpled until the end of Sunday, 28th Dec.;

 The Secret Santa reveal conversations can pass that time if they have been happening during this week.

 For the New Year, I can already assure you that will be similar to last year: a firework show will be happening at the Hamptons' midnight.

 I truly hope all of you had a great Christmas and got what you asked for!

 Because the last 2 months had events, even if October had a small questionnaire to be answered, the monthly activity for November will be all about your character.

 Between today and tomorrow, you will be informed of the first writing prompt you will have to do. Yes, you read it right, the first. Which means, there will be a second prompt as well that will only be revealed in a week to be written on the last week of the month.

 One week to write the first prompt, one week to write the second prompt. Sounds fair, right?

 I can already say that I hope you all like what we will bring to you and that we know it will request some deep thinking about your character, that's exactly what we want, help you getting to know your character even better as well as some history behind him.

 There were a few discussions occurring during the past days around this month's activity.

 The last two months we had two events as our monthly activities, each event with very specific characteristics and prompts associated. According to our balance, this month should be about a prompt/challenge/activity that could promote more character development.

 We had a few members expressing their excitement over the Halloween season and we remembered that last year we did had a Halloween Town Fair with two groups of prompts.

 So, to keep things balanced, we will bring back the Halloween Town Fair Event but this time, simply has a good event and this time with nothing bad previously planned to happen, as well as a small character development prompt, something very simple.
