     “What?” She gave them a look. Treat’s lips nearly fell into a pout but that wouldn’t work on them. “I’m just having fun -- why should you guys get to have all of it? It’s not my fault the people here are so... easily tricked.”

    His words felt heavy on her heart. Her eyes squeezed shut and she let out a heavy sigh before she finally turned to look at him, periwinkle eyes meeting baby blues. “I.. I don’t know.” She said softly. Artemis frowned, “this hurts me too -- but we both know the consequences and I can’t risk you.” Even if every cell in her body wanted to pull him close to her, she wanted to keep him safe.

Petra found her brother in the library, thankfully no body was around so she could talk to him. “Hey Nick.” She pulled out the chair and sat next to him. “How was Lupercalia with Sabrina?”

        she could remember everything perfectly. she was sabrina spellman, a witch. she had lost her parents and was raised by her aunts. she had gone to mortal school and resisted putting her name in the book, but had eventually signed her name to save her friends. what she couldn’t remember was what she had been doing for the past few months. and who the boy holding onto her was. 

        she jerked away, taking two steps backwards and wrapping her arms around herself. something wasn’t right here. ‘ who are you? where are we? ‘ all she could see was trees. 

Cora’s humanity was still intact, but she rarely showed it; she wasn’t heartless, or careless, but she remained guarded.  But Trick?  She had a soft spot for Trick.  “That’s where we’re lucky, our stories don’t end.”  A beat passed, and she sighed.  “But to those we leave behind on our eternal journeys?  We’re the best damn parts of their stories.”

“You’ll have to catch me first!” The princess giggled as she ran through the thick trees, the foliage seemingly parting for the blonde as she passed. She knew the Moors like the back of her hand now, an advantage she had over her pursuer, and she knew the creatures would aid her in her game.
