Madèlene Cronin: “Dad, you wanted to see me?”  

Henry Cronin: “Hey Maddie, come on in. You look lovely little one.”

MC: “Thanks Dad, Mom asked me to greet some tours with her, I needed to look the part.”

HC: “Do you want a seat?”

HC: “How’ve you been keeping? How are things up in Brindleton – is your Grandmother keeping  ok?”

MC: “Did you really ask me down here to talk about Grandma?… spill old man.”

HC: “OK. I want to discuss our concerns about your recent press…”

MC: “‘Our concerns’ is this my dad or the President speaking?”

HC: “Your dad, of course. Every concern I have is as a Father. But you’ve been getting a lot more media attention than usual recently. Especially on the Simtinent, I can’t keep you as safe in Felsenbourg.”

MC: “Dad…”

HC: “I promised before I ran for office that I would do everything I could to keep thing from changing too much. I’ve tried, but there is only so much …”

MC: “Dad…”

HC: “And I know you’d like to be in Felsenbourg and you want to live your own life but …”

MC: “DAD! I’m not going to Felsenbourg. You should not believe everything you hear on the news… I know Llama News have us all but married, but I am not in love with Prince Felix. I had a great time on the Simtinent, but I my life is here…”

HC: “That’s a relief.”

MC: “But I’m not going to Princesim either. I want to go to Britechester – they have one of the best art history programmes in the country. I want to be my own person, not a copy of some predetermined notion of what I should be.”

HC: “You’re your mother’s daughter for sure. OK - this I can work with”

MC: “Thanks, dad.”

HC: “So you didn’t find your Prince Charming?”

HC: “But who knows what’s waiting in Britechester…”
