Can we talk about how James would have been a Mama's boy? Like, seriously, it was him and Ginny while Harry was working and she was still so young and energetic. Someone tries to tell a two year old James what to do, he just looks at them like "You're not my mummy." Don't look at me.
yesyesyesyesyes honestly yesJames is the BIGGEST mama’s boy EVER. Ginny is the reason he’s so into quidditch. she’s the one that introduced him to it and caused him to be around it SO MUCH. It came natural to him because he grew up on it. Harry played and helped him pratice and all, but Ginny was the one to push him to be better at it. he was so full of shit with everyone else, but if it was his mother — he behaved. he knew not to cross her both because he knew her punishments well enough already and because he just didn’t want to anger his mother. I’m sure Harry was plenty exasperated with this because James was all or “mum said not to” or “mum said I could” or even “I’ll tell mum” AND AND AND “anything's possible if you've got enough nerve” is hella James’ motto!! when he’s scared or anxious or just feeling down about the world and himself, he’ll repeat that over and over and he’ll have the inspiration and courage to keep going!
