what happened with voltron? I was thinking about starting it but // everyone says it's a disappointment :/
it queerbaited, big time. killed off 3 gay characters in it’s recent season. at their panel at sdcc they said shiro was gay and had a significant other (fiancé!) back on earth, well he had 3 seconds of screen time and died in a fight and shiro mourned him for 4 seconds. i’m pretty sure they only made shiro gay because he doesn’t actually get a love interest. there is no explicit lgbt representation after they continuously promised us we’d get the rep! (also don’t get me started on what they did to klance)
and there writing for the hetero couples are atrocious, like allura suddenly likes lance after making it very clear that she did not reciprocate his feelings (he’s a rebound to her) and keith is suddenly a staightie and axca the galran alien we rarely see in the show is suddenly gonna be his love interest? yeah, terrible writing and i’m out.
A theory: at the end of qoaad, kit actually seperates from the blackthorns (idk why this makes sense to me) and in TWP, he reunites with them after a bunch of events cause them to have to come together.
yeah… i actually agree with you and i’m dreading it cos it sort of makes sense. I was thinking about this last week hjghfgds i really, really don’t want this to happen. cassie, please
