My fiancé and I finished the Path of Pain!!!! He did the actual platforming, but I'm the one who's better at seeing/planning a route. I don't think we'd ever have know about it without you! Another ND "something" in honor (or perhaps in spite) of the weather rolling in. North Dakota has Something in the Storms. Maybe it's because you can see thunder storms hours before they hit. Maybe it's because a blizzard is never just the storm, it's the digging out afterward too. Maybe it's because every flake of snow becomes a drop of water in the floods. ND storms are home to Something. I've said it before, but the whole state has the energy of being stalked. Safe-for-now isn't safe forever.

North Dakota is six parts. They blend on the edges, but I've lived here all my life & I only know five parts of it (I only trust three). You're two degrees removed from any other person in the state, but it's so easy to find yourself alone. The moment you break south out of the Turtle Mountains, it's always sunset and you can see the full extent of the plains (whether you want to or not). Westbound on 94, you'll cross the flattest Continental Divide at 1490'. ND is slow. ND stalks & is stalked.
