A/N: oooo, ya really wanted to make me think a lot!!!! uhhh i really hope this is alright! i was kind of stumped for a bit, i never really considered a relationship between a human and a mermaid except for like... The Little Mermaid, aha..... i made this as gender-neutral as i could, by the way!
Jotaro w/ a Mermaid S/O + Crusadersâ Reactions
Jotaro is⌠quite a stoic man.
But, he would probably freak out when he found an actual, real life mermaid!Â
He would go to see them whenever he could and pretend it was to study marine biology. In a way, thatâs kind of trueâŚ
He asks them a lot of questions, though heâs pretty bad with how he words them sometimes. Heâs just excited to actually talk to a mermaidâŚ
He really likes their tail and fins!! Theyâre beautiful to him and he would love to run his hands over their scales if it was okay.
Would definitely not confess to them since he would feel slightly guilty for liking a non-human creature, but he wouldnât say no if they confessed to him
As soon as they convince him to date them, they would probably take him on an underwater adventure! They would need to pay close attention to how much oxygen he needs, so they would always have a hold of him as they lead him around the ocean to see several species of fish.
The relationship might be a bit difficult, considering Jotaro has to live on land, and he wouldnât want to restrain them⌠Itâs likely he would live in a house right on the oceanside, so he could see them all the time and also not keep them anchored to him.
There probably wouldnât be constant physical contact, but thatâs alright with him! Heâs not always the most physical person, so he wouldnât mind it at all.
But of course, he would have to tell the Crusaders eventuallyâŚ
Kakyoin seems surprised to hear about Jotaro dating someone. And when Jotaro introduces him to them, he seems even more surprised.

Heâs supportive of it as soon as he wraps his head around the idea of human/mermaid relationships!
Avdol is confused by the whole situation. Certainly, Jotaro doesnât mean heâs dating the mermaid in the waterâŚ?
Once Jotaro explains that yes, heâs dating the mermaid in the water, Avdol hums to himself and nods, moving to ask the mermaid a few questions. Heâs not upset or interrogating, heâs simply curious and wants to make sure this mermaid wonât hurt Jotaro. He figures he owes at least that much to Joseph.
Speaking of⌠Joseph is ecstatic. Heâs so happy that his grandson found someone!! He would demand to meet them immediately, and when he met them⌠oh boy.
He would be through the roof, making suave compliments (to Jotaroâs embarrassment) and making sure this mermaid is safe enough for Jotaro. Heâs glad Jotaro found someone, but he doesnât want Jotaro to get hurt.
Polnareff freaks out when Jotaro mentions his s/o! He immediately wants to meet them!
He also makes suave compliments, borderline flirting with them (which kind of makes Jotaro angry) and then telling them all about how Jotaro is and how his life has gone, including each embarrassing moment possible!
