There was a little crowd gathered at the center of the round square, in front of the fountain. The reason was not hard to guess, little balls could be seen flying in the air in what could only be juggling; and once you approached enough, you could see a young adult looking clown moving over the edge of the fountain while juggling.
Sometimes, he would mock stagger, but he never lost footing nor let any of the balls fall. Kids laughed and were awed, while adults looked over with the smallest smile on their face. It made Allen happy, and made him forget for the time his play lasted that he was anything else than a travelling clown.
That was, until he caught sight of a familiar person in the crowd.
Fuck my luck, was his first thought
Ow, was his second when one of the ball hit the top of his head.
Allen was quick to make it look like it was part of his play, very glad for the make up on his face that hide how fixed his smile had became now. And that covered his red scar. He even had a hat on, alongside his clown costume, so really, there was no reason to be recognized, right?
Try telling that to his accelerated heart. His hand twitched to throw one of the ball and knock out the known man, but unless Allen took him by surprise, he doubted that would work.
So he finished his play with a small bow, making sure to be smiling at the clapping, and forcing his gaze to stay away from one Tyki Mikk.
