#khatamsudah #TheTamingofTheQueen written by one of my favorite historical fiction author: #philippagregory Published: 2015 Pages: 516 It's a compelling story on the sixth & final wife of the tyranny King Henry VIII of England; Queen #KaterynParr Chronoligical order of King Henry VIII marriages: 1. Catherine of Aragon (marriage annulled, died while detained under guard, mother of Mary I) 2. #anneboleyn (annulled, then beheaded, mother of Elizabeth I) 3. Jane Seymour (died 12 days after giving birth to Edward VI, due to birth complications) 4. Anne of Cleves (annulled, outlived the rest of the wives) 5. Katherine Howard (beheaded) 6. Kateryn Parr (widowed at death of Henry VIII, remarried to Thomas Seymour) Queen Kateryn Parr survived the dangerous court of King Henry VIII and his Privy Council. Many innocents life died due to long battle and conflicts on religion; papists vs reformist Christian. Kateryn stands on the view of the reformist, which was later followed by stepdaughter, Queen Elizabeth I. Meanwhile Queen Mary I, her older stepdaughter believed on the Papist tradition sanctioned under the Rome Catholic. Kateryn reunited all three heirs of England back to the palace: Mary I, Elizabeth I & Edward VI. She supported the restoration efforts to return the royal rights to Mary as well as Elizabeth. Remembered as The General Regent of England on the absence of her husband. The first English woman & Queen ever published her own writings in English with her name on the cover of the books; during these times, women were not recognized to have voice over man. Kateryn almost sentenced to death to the Tower but protected by a good loyal to the end lady named Anne Askew (sentenced to the Tower, put on rack, later burned to death), who believed Kateryn's efforts in reforming religion in England to the new way; not the way on which Pope controlled the religion, bribery, tithes which strangled the poors to their starvation and not the way on which sins will be forgiven by paying amount of money to the Church. The reformist believed that the sermons as was well as the Bible itself should be delivered in English. This is Kateryn stories, a survivor Queen
