MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Yup these are flamingo christmas lights! Because this is a NMTD secret santa, and it would not be complete without some flamingos. 

Hope you are having a WONDERFUL day!! I have had so much fun this month sending you fun little messages and videos and songs, i hope you have also enjoyed it. Also, I want you to know that your blog is phenomenal. I have had to work seriously hard not to reblog your stuff all month. And when I get back from my Christmas holiday I may or may not have already planned to do a major creep of your blog, so get ready for that. You can check me out at cantdividebyzero. LAST DAY OF THE ADVENT CALENDAR!!! This has been super fun for me, I really hope you have enjoyed it, I know I have. Are you ready for Christmas? 

Two more Christmas traditions:

Up top we have The Shepherd. They play this every year on the radio on Christmas Eve. When I was in grade school I had a knack to be sick for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And so on Christmas Eve my family would go to Church but I would have to stay home because I was too sick. So for multiple years in a row I listen to the Shepherd and normally read a Harry Potter book, because I was just that kind of kid (still am, I think). I really do love this, its long but hopefully you'll find some time in your holidays. 

Secondly head on over to see where Santa is. NORAD Santa is a seriously cool website. I am pretty close to the end of Santa's route and sometimes I feel like we should leave out gatorade and those gel packs marathoners take with them.

Yay today is for the Grinch Who Stole Christmas!!! One of my piano teachers would always tell me that the beginning and the end of a piece are the most important, because those are the parts people remember. So there's the beginning and here's the end:

Today was my first real day off. I slept for 12 hours and my sister and I are going to see the fourth Harry Potter movie in the theatre this afternoon. One of the local theatres is playing all the movies over the holidays and we are pretty excited about it.

HAPPY SATURDAY!!!! And yes marshmallows are certifiably the greatest thing. I promise to drink zero eggnog because I'm pretty sure I don't like it. And actually alcohol and I don't really get along (I have severe anemia and can't really handle it), but tonight I'm going to see one of my best friend's band play, and then I'm going to our family friend's Christmas party. I painted my nails red yesterday (which is weird I never paint my nails, but I'm still in the post exam phase where I don't know what to do with free time) and they make everything the fabulous version of whatever you're doing. Eating cereal? Fabulously. Brushing your teeth? With sass. Its pretty fun!

Okay so today I'm sending you youtube videos of my favourite Christmas carols. These actually aren't carols. They're just songs. We sing a lot of carols at church, but its not the same without the giant organ, so I'm not even gonna try. The one up top is pretty fun for a mainly one reason: the preamble is amazing. Clarence you keep practicing, and you'll get that new saxophone for Christmas!! I was so confused the first time I heard it. But now when I hear this on the radio I listen just for that part.

My Grandpa used to play Nat King Cole all day on Christmas day. So naturally this is still basically my all time favourite. 

Also this video reminds me, do you have the fireplace channel where you live? Here there is a tv channel that just shows a loop of a fireplace and plays Christmas carols for basically the whole of December. Occasionally a hand will come in and stoke the fire, or add a log. Basically every holiday party you go to will have it on haha.

Okay so in high school I was in this really intense band program. And our band director would let us play 2 pieces of Christmas music because he thought the rest wasn't hard enough for us. And one of them was Sleigh Ride and now oh man I love this song. One time we played it at lunch in the main gathering area of our high school. Every year without fail the person who had to do the whip crack would mess it up in rehearsal. I'm listening to it right now and it is filling me with warm fuzzies.
