delighted  cry  from  lydia  ,  hands  clasped  together  ,    ❝  gosh  ,  dead  roses  !  ❞

TELL ME WHY YOU FOLLOWED ME && WHAT MADE YOU STAY !! ||  accepting pls !!

❝  he  was  annoying  me  .  ❞    the  girl  doesn’t  know  what  else  to  say  ,  really  ,  or  what  christine  is  expecting  to  hear  .  it  really  was  that  simple  . 

a  sound  that  can  only  be  described  as  sheer  delight  comes  from  the  other  girl  ,  gleefully  snapping  another  picture  of  christine  with  her  polaroid  camera  .  there’s  about  five  others  on  the  floor  of  the  opera  house  ;  all  tests  ,  just  to  make  sure  .

when  the  sixth  picture  comes  out  just  as  blurry  and  distorted  ,  lydia  all-too  happily  exclaims  ,    ❝  god  ,  you  really  are  dead  !  ❞    and  with  a  flourish  ,  she  presents  the  picture  to  christine  .  christine  ,  of  course  ,  is  less  than  thrilled  with  this  news  .  lydia  tries  to  quell  her  enthusiasm  .

“  i’ve never heard anything like that!  ”    she exclaims, the gracious manners of a well-born lady forgotten in her enthusiasm. she thinks sheepishly of her own voice, bold and unrefined, warbling whatever ditty her nurse had taught her. usually, she fancied herself something of a talent -- but mademoiselle daaé had quickly shown the folly in that.    “  i know it is unbecoming of me, but i don’t mind admitting that i’m terribly jealous, ”    she adds with a laugh.

❝  god  ,  you  sound  just  like  ...  like  delia  ,  ❞    lydia  practically  shudders  ,  fixing  christine  with  her  most  pointed  glare  .  what  good  was  being  so  wishy-washy  ?
