For a long ass time, (actually up until yesterday), I’ve always considered myself slightly above average. Not fine, just cute. Not a genius, just kinda smart. Not funny, just have my moments. The bare minimum. Doing and requiring just enough to get by. That shit can really put a chokehold on your dreams. I literally just read somewhere, “Your comfort is your prison”. Then a light bulb came on. Stop being content with “just enough” and take pride in myself and what I bring forth.
You are able to say, "I'm the shit". That's it! No if's, and's, or but's about it! Give yourself the credit you deserve. It's perfectly fine to believe and be confident in yourself and your choices in life. Set standards for yourself and stand by your dreams and beliefs. Everybody won't understand, and that's okay.
