durgetash week '25: fighting as foreplay
progress is coming in the form of a steel army - and a lack of sleep. a game is played and the loser has to rest. gortash doesn’t like that idea.
“You’ve been hiding from me,” Rumour says as she shuts the door loudly behind her. It’s enough to get him to stand up and out of the metal construct.
“No I haven’t,” Gortash replies, pushing up his goggles onto the top of his head and wiping his forehead with a grease stained arm. “I left you a note on my desk telling you of my whereabouts.”
“And I assumed you would be back at night to rest. I’ve had things to tell you.” She eyes the construct in the middle - of course he’s been spending his time down here, tweaking and altering the designs of the Gondian blueprints he stole. “Surely these things can wait.”
“Progress waits for no one,” he claims dramatically, a scheming grin crossing his face. She thinks these metal robots hardly count as progress. “Come, I think you’ll like this.”
