" First of all, a group of Phantom Thieves are exactly what the word condemn: a concept we don't know if exists in reality, a mysterious being without face or name. How can i believe that people like them are doing good things? If they're so righteous, so just, so benevolent... Then, why do they hide? Why do they choose to put a mask in their faces?

A mask... The psychological meaning of the mask is... "A way to dissasociate". All of us have masks, inside. We change them according of the place and the people we talk to, the world is like that. But the ones who put on a physical mask do it for the sake of running from their responsabilities, from their actions. If you put a mask on, even your mother could have a hard time recognizing you. It's like you're another person. Like you're free to do whatever you want.

So, my answer is simple. He uses the mask to feel safe.

And, if you do the right thing, why would you need to feel safe if it doesn't come from your actions? It just... Doesn't have any sense.

Their victims change for good, i won't deny it. But just because it's the best outcome, doesn't make it right.

And, if they only do counseling, why would the targeted people call the police in panic? Please, understand... I have a lot of reasons to think that that's not their way of doing things...
