Stay — Row NYC Hotel

Stayed at The Row for 5 nights while we were in New York City. Since I was travelling with family who had never been there, I wanted to choose accommodation that would be convenient and economical, yet clean and nice for us to rest comfortably. I thought The Row hit all the right spots!

The location is incredibly convenient, situated right next to Times Square. All around are diners, souvenir shops and Broadway theatres. Oh, and it’s just diagonally opposite Shake Shack (super plus point)!

It is one of the more decently-priced hotels (does not mean cheap) for its Midtown Manhattan location.

The boutique hotel is quite well-designed, with a cosy bar and lobby area. If you're into the hipster cafe scene, you’d appreciate the furnishing.

Food was really convenient as there's a food court, City Kitchen, located right on the second floor. It sells a bunch of super hip NY food (Kuro-Obi by Ippudo Ramen, Luke’s Lobster). We dined there on numerous occasions when we couldn’t decide what to eat or were too tired to head out further.

With four of us sharing a double room, it got a little claustrophobic at times, but that was easily resolved by taking a little solo trip out to Times Square.

If I were to head back to NYC, I’d probably not stay within Manhattan again, but The Row is perfect for first-timers due to its close proximity to all the touristy stuff.
