I see a number of people saying this is where the story starts to divebomb and spirals off into needless drama, but it's just ringing the same bells as what Sonic Lost World did for Tails and is something that people need to consider: these characters are just kids.

I'm sure we'd all love to forget we were all complete and utter brats by nature, to the point of even hitting our closest friends over some stupid dispute ("SUPERMAN'S COOLER" "BATMAN'S COOLER"), but it's more sensible to accept that it's all a part of growing up.
