1. Name a song which makes you swell with happiness. (one that just makes you smile no matter what) why? 

this is hard as there are a few so i'll say "still into you" by paramore because it sums up so many different feeling about events and is great to sing along to. 

2. If you could do anything, what would it be? (Profession, singular action, anything) 

End conflict and enable people to live in harmony and settle conflict and issues by talking not fighting. 

3. Which of your material possessions means the most to you? why? 

This is hard as I've collected a few meaningful possessions but it'd have to be my union jack bobble hat as it was given to me during a really goodnight and at a time when everything was going well by a brilliant individual (it's also a really good hat)   

4. What is your idea of a perfect day/night? Be as detailed as possible 

This includes the hypothetical situation that i'm not single. 

Starts like most days wake up, next to her then we'd cook breakfast and eat it it bed because we're cool like that then after getting dressed showering etc we'd go out for a long walk somewhere nice like wales or the highlands or even somewhere local then get back and snuggle up and watch a film or read around the fire then go to bed and the rest shall be left to  the imagination. sounds boring but to me the perfect day is beautiful and simple. 

5. What do you do to cheer yourself up? 

if I've been sad i'll read but if I've been angry i'll run or swim to let off steam.

6. What one film would you want to be a part of? why? what sort of character?  

Harry potter as it's a great film about magic and the power of friendship and i'd be a supporting character like neville or luna.

7. If you could spend your life with one character, who would you choose? Luna as she would be absolutely great to work and live with  

8. Name 5 things about yourself that you consider qualities.  

- my quirkiness, caring nature, rational thought process, delightful optimism and my ability to always be there and help no matter what 

9. Name one opportunity you would like to have access to 

doing something great like being able to be part of the British antarctic survey help to expand scientific understanding. 

10. Who are you closest to, why? 

I'm close to people in different ways but i'd have to say my friend who i'm always there for and who we share a lot about each other with.

This is here because I have spent the last two years pulling my head out of my ass and actively trying to become a person who lives and loves and is happy rather than (barely) functions. It’s made me realise that I can endure and endure and endure and endure and just not fucking stop, and I am still working out how to twist that quality into something that helps rather than hurts. “I am thawing”, to give you more from Wintergirls. (It’s a great book.) (Read it.)

2. If you could change one single life on earth for better, what kind of person would you pick and why?

Selfishly? I’m going to pick her (she knows who she is). I wish she felt better.

Unselfishly? I think I’d pick one of the most isolated, least privileged people I could find, and surround them with people who were on their side/members of their identity group/actively trying to initiate change so they had a support network.

But the more I think about this the more unfair I think it is to select just one person, so I don’t really know. I’m not stupid; I wouldn’t insist on improving nobody’s life, but to alleviate my own guilt it would probably have to be picked at random.

3. Do you have any secret talents? What are they?

ERM

I have talents (?) (what) I’m not sure how secret they are. I play piano pretty well; I play the flute; I write prose (I like to think in quite an accomplished way)…

I’m spectacularly weird, if that counts as part of a skillset.

4. Have you ever felt like someone/ something saved your life? Tell me about it :)

Yes. Me. I have. I am the one who talked myself down, every single time.

6. Do you believe in fate or are you the maker of your own life?

When I’m relapsing or getting stuck in old old habits or panicking then I often find myself desperately trying to blame God but I don’t think that counts as faith, as much as I love it and am fascinated by it in other people. No, I’m in control of my life.

7. Who inspires you?

Hayley Williams. Misha Collins. Emma Thompson. Beyonce. Not my dad. Maybe a little my mum. A friend of mine called Emma, she's nice to everyone all of the time and y'know, ~*~aspirations~*~

8. What is the best part of your personality?

Endurance. Attempting kindness at all costs.

9. Best day you ever had? :)

There was one fantastic night when I spent the whole time laughing with the person I’m in love with.

There was another night when she told me she wanted me, although in hindsight both of these are quite painful actually they hurt to think about right now let’s not MOVING ON

There was a great day when I met all my friends and got to forget about everything and stop worrying. There. That memory isn't getting painful anytime soon.

Crush by Richard Siken. Yes yes yes yes definitely yes god yes

11. Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? What are they and did you manage to break them already? :D

Yes I did, they were to try to move on from someone or sort the situation out. I wouldn’t say ‘broken’, I’d go more with ‘slowly stopped trying and became demotivated because it wasn’t working at all be honest with yourself Anna’.
