This time, they hadn’t stayed with Toriel and the rest. they really did have somewhere to be, something to do, but... figuring out how was the problem. the kid had taken to wandering, pawning a few coins of G as they traveled. 

this beach was crystal clear, even with the cloudy skies. they let the shore wash over their feet, before encountering a different type of structure.  a giant... hand was protuding out of the sand.

curious, the children got loser, only to see the entire cliffside sculpted into something astounding. sure, it looked old, mostly, but the detail could be seen even from a slight distance. there were no objections from either party about investigating closer.

seeing someone else nearby, they ended up approaching her instead. perhaps a local would know more about this? “Ma’am, are you from around here? do you know what this sculpture is?” upon getting closer, while still smiling, it was easy to see this lady was a tad on the tall side for the average person... huh.

SHAKING sobs rack Pearl’s body; dainty fingers held tightly over mouth agape. one thousand years of fighting as a lie had finally come to a HALT, and the air had not yet settled on the face of planet earth.

the sickening sound of gems snapping and breaking echoes through the very walls of her mind, and pearl in this moment of ANGUISH decides she never wants to touch a sword again.

°°°·.°·..·°¯°·._.· all those gems, all those lives —

— pearl takes a shaky breath inward, hands making their way to grasp at her neck. a choked noise escaping her as the air in her lungs is suddenly EVAPORATED, fresh and fat tears rolling down her porcelain skin. she sobs again, thin arms wrapping themselves around small frame.

the gentle rustle of grass behind her calls for her attention, the pearl looks behind her. Ringlets of soft pink make their way over the hill. she was so BEAUTIFUL, pearl didn’t know whether she loved her or hated her.

Perhaps she’d been slightly off her calculations in a recent conversation. future vision wasn’t always exact, and it’s possible she’d said a word to much. why else would she have been transferred to Pink Diamond’s colony?

to her First colony? the orders had been to make sure everything ran smoothly, to be a guide. it’d be one thing if she was to be overwatching someone she could command, but she had no real influence. All she’d have was her ability and words, but a diamond could ignore that.

and yet Yellow had instructed to make sure things went smoothly. If she couldn’t fulfill the order... there was a sweet smile as she disembarked from the ship, her head lowered respectfully. her ruby soldiers tailed behind stoicly, two of them.they’re motions seemed uncertain, even as they did their tasks. their heads lowered respectively when they saw Pink. as soon as the trio were completely disembarked, the Saphire bowed, and the rubies took it as a cue to bend on one knee, heads facing the floor profusely.

the guards looked all too stiff, especially considering the average ruby behaviour...

strong && STRIPED arms hold small pink diamond TRIUMPHANTLY above her head, an affectionate jasper gazing star-struck up at her radiance — her DIAMOND.

made to devote, jasper has never been happier to be HERS. the striped quartz relishes in the sense of purpose her diamond gives her; jasper lowers pink to her chest.

BRIDAL-STYLE, she looks down to her monarch, golden eyes fixed on rich pink ones. the sound of her own GRUFF voice against pink’s makes her feel powerful, confidence surges through the soldier.
