“You will never know if you do no try, My Diamond….somegem of your caliber should be able to pulls something off.”

Blue didn’t say anything as the other came to her side. The whole situation was something that felt permanent, like the Diamond couldn’t possibly rectify it. She wanted to speak with Yellow. She wanted to learn what it would be like to be a Diamond again. But her grief overtook her and she was unable. 

“….you’re stronger than you believe…..”

Blue Diamond let out a slow exhale as she took one step forward. Talking to Yellow felt like a bad idea. After all, Yellow would rehash points that were logical, calculated. How could she argue with logic?

“Oh, I’m sure it is. Yellow Diamond is a formidable leader…has all of that pressure upon those strong shoulders……with no relief…..”

Blue stared at the floor. She had been weak, leaving all of the work to her co-leader of Homeworld. She couldn’t just get back to work though. She was much too fragile. Blue Diamond knew that she was weak and horrible for stressing poor Yellow out like that.

“…..Yellow Diamond overworks herself…..you are not totally to blame for her current condition.”

Blue Diamond often felt like she was a large blame for Yellow Diamond’s stress. Especially when there was a lot that she wasn’t doing to help her companion. “I would love to do that… But she doesn’t want to talk.” Blue spoke quietly.

“…….for things to be different….new things must happen….”

Blue thought about what the pearl was saying and it didn’t seem as far fetched as it may have felt. While Blue wasn’t ever really one to make a fellow Diamond do anything, the path they were currently leading was toxic and not functional. 

“…..by making her listen to you like she makes other listen to her….”

“Oh, I’m sure it is. Yellow Diamond is a formidable leader…has all of that pressure upon those strong shoulders……with no relief…..”

As the aura washed over her tears dripped down the Mother’s face, but she had no idea if her own of regret and sorrow mingled with them.

Blue Diamond had to concentrate not to flinch at the touch of the black nails against her cheeks. She took in a small breath before she spoke barely above a whisper. “You left us with so much pain… And now you want to say you would shoulder it all….” She whispered, knowing that she probably shouldn’t have said anything about the past.

Immediately the soft hands dropped guiltily from her face as White turned soberly away.

Among her emotions came curiosity at the mention of someone that White hadn’t mentioned before. “You... aren’t supposed to shoulder it all anymore. We’re supposed to face things as a team...” Blue said quietly as her aura slowly faded from the room.
