hey fran!!! im sorry to bother you, but i'm kinda frustrated cuz i have no idea of what to watch rn and i really like your taste in anime (and manga) !! so um, is it okay to ask for some recs from you? i'd like to find smth more happy/warm !! (im so tired of crying)(tho if you've got some good angst i'm... willing to try... hahah.. ejsjsj) tbh fuck. Just tell me bout whatever you think is great!!
I had a few anime recs around in my blogs but I ??? never tag them so!!! amazing - either way, I’m always saying this but my tastes in anime aren’t always for everyone? I like messy plots a lot, and phylosophical stuff too, so I can give you a rec but I can’t promise you’ll like them!
Anyway, as far as soft, generally easy to like anime go try Barakamon (slice of life, fun!), Uchouten Kazoku (fantasy slice of life,a bit crazy and hard to follow at points, also in s1 there’s a seriously sad episode, but generally soft AND fun), Mushishi (fantasy, soft, can get slightly dark at times but generally poetic), Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (slice of life, FUN!!! SUPER FUN!!!), Isshuukan Friends (shoujo, so soft), Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge (slice of life, F U N) and Hakumei to Mikochi (sorta fairy tale but generally slice of life, super soft and relaxing)
If you want the least angsty between my top favorites tho, Kyousougiga (fantasy, crazy, about family! hard to follow but super worth it, it’s my fav anime ever), Kekkai Sensen (a Mess™, you might also cry, but generally crazy and super fun, s2 is more episodic and easier to follow than s1), Ping Pong the Animation (sports anime!!! don’t mind the drawing style, the story is seriously something else - might punch you straight in the feels, but super happy ending) and The Tatami Galaxy (a super mess, very phylosophical and kind of hard to follow, but the ending is still one of my favorites of any anime ever)
Also if you’re up for something really long (203 episodes) then give Katekyo Hitman Reborn a shot! It’s my fav shounen together with One Piece and BnHA! :D
