New gladius design recently dropped on Hero Forge. I'm pretty sure it's inspired by this display/costuming replica I use as one of my therapy swords.

now i want a sword.
New thinking cap!
My new thinking-cap came in the mail this evening! Gallic-style Roman Legionary helm. It came with a plume as well, but I like it better without.
New therapy sword came earlier this week! Claymore this time! 52" display/costuming model from Medieval Collectibles. Being somewhere around a quarter Scottish, I thought it was thematically appropriate.

Therapy Sword
Sometimes, you just need a cool sword to solve your problems...
Out of Context Quote of the Day for 6/5/18:
“Did you see the "Therapy Sword"? Because now I feel like I made a redundant life choice. A very redundant life choice.”
My therapy sword came today---I’d wanted a xiphos, but couldn’t find one not in wicked expensive, so I got an affordable gladius replica instead. Strictly a costume/decorative sword, but still kind of cool. A little vexed, though, that the flimsy mounting chain on the scabbard broke the first time I tried to wear it. I mean, I'd figured on replacing it with something stronger to begin with, but that definitely put a mild damper on my excitement.
