He grew up thinking that he had to do everything in his power to prove himself to be the most like Reggie wanted to find any kind of love from him. It caused paranoia habits and overprotective habits etc that are unhealthy and cause bad decision making. His trauma is still valid even if he's a total dummy about the way he acts 80% of the time.

And like, he almost died, and Reggie's cure wasn't to take him to a hospital like a normal person, nooo. He I injected him with gorilla serum and hoped that would help. Then when it didn't turn out right he banished and neglected him in isolation, similar to the soundproof room and the mausoleum. Like, sure, he had more room to move about on the moon and things to keep him busy, but it's still mass isolation.

Exactly! Like, seriously, all these poor kids need therapy - like, even if you don’t like him/what he did, you’ve got to admit he’s just as fucked up as the others! None of them came through unscathed; just because his isn’t as “obvious” as turning to drugs/alcohol doesn’t mean he’s fine and dandy! 

And like, the whole “moon” thing he keeps repeating in earlier episodes about how he’s been there like... I can’t help but wonder, is that the only thing he’s got? That kind of isolation had to have fucked with his mind.
