Meet Little Red and Rockford! These two buddies met here at The Pipsqueaquarry and became fast friends. I think they both went through life feeling a little awkward about their single eyes and triangular shape so when they met someone else who looked like them they bonded really fast. Founded in 216 BCE when the first stone tools had outlived their usefulness to the locals and needed re-homing, the PipsqueaQuarry focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of healthy pet rocks from around the world. Each pet rock is adopted out with an adoption certificate, an assessment of the rock’s pedigree and personality, and, in certain circumstances, with accessories that have been specially crafted for its unique shape. The PipsqueaQuarry’s sanctuary is the bedrock of the community. We focus on the long-term care of rocks with geological conditions including fossilization, weathering (with a special focus on acid rain damage), the predisposition for erosion, and uncontrollable volcanic eruptions. Our goal is to advance individual veterinary care for individual stones that prioritize accommodating the special needs of each pet stone; our main goal is to allow them to exist as independently as any other rock, be they wild or in captivity.
