Yesterday I finally made it back to the the Big O Pipe. I was surprised there was no people sessioning it on a Sunday. But I still had fun by myself though, mostly practicing my ditch grabs. I love skateboarding cause it teaches me to work hard to achieve my goals and also be patient with my limitations. At the beginning of the sesh I was not getting this trick at all, mostly cause I wasn’t committing to the tight land. My mind was like “maybe this is the year where I’m too old to land these”. But my soul said “No way, I’m gonna prove you that Chris is gonna catch this lil bit of air till the day he dies!!”. Finally got a solid skate session at the Big O pipe yesterday! Beautiful sunny summer day, flowing through the natural tight transitions of that mystical vessel. Went by myself but there was plenty of friendly skate fam who where in town for the @dimemtl contest. I’ve been skating this spot since ‘03 and its always a challenging pleasure to get anything there and certainly fun! Hard to believe that the waves can reach up to 30 feet. The Billabong Pipeline Masters is an event in surfing held annually at Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii. It was established in 1970 and attracts the top 45 surfers from The World Surf League as well as 16 surfers who compete in walk-on trials.
