Richard’s  lips  seal  for  a  price...and  open  for  less.  It  isn’t  difficult  to  tango  through  the  bullshit  politics,  the  lies,  the  coverups-  but  when  it  comes  to  money.  Well,  money  is  money.  In  the  same  vain,  information  is  currency...and  people  will  pay-  give  up  anything-  for  it.  

“Wha’da  do?  Drug  charge?  MURDER?  Launder  money?  Skip  out  on  your  taxes,  huh?  I  know  I  am...

A hand keeps over the open wound in his stomach--he couldn’t find the grit to stay upright properly. He uses the bathroom wall as leverage, blood dripping all the way down, warming the soles of his feet.

It takes him a moment, through blood loss and exhaustion, to realize what she was communicating.

He’ll been honest: he wasn’t expecting her to let him talk. It was just something he’d spat out. Words were the one way survivors could fight back against killers, always and harsh. But, often, they didn’t get far in terms of being egged on to speak. His red-stained fingers shake against the cold tiles.

He had his audience. What now?

Nothing he could say could spare his life. He knew that. He had no blackmail, nothing to bargain, he didn’t even know the Pig’s real name. He had nothing.

So, “Is that real? The pig head, I mean.” He gestures vaguely. Tiredly. “Figured I’d ask when I have the chance. Before, you know, I die.”

Quentin’d been offhandedly curious about it for a while. Curious about a lot of things, really--this place didn’t leave a lot to occupy the mind. In between trials, at least. 

Val wrapped a hand around the other woman’s wrist.

Opening his the drawer to his desk he pulled out his letter opener cutting the file open he skimmed over the papers. They were descriptions and detailed backgrounds on others. “People of Interest” is what it seemed. As Herman went through the files he began to pull together that not all of these people were- from the prisoner pool that he was told. Some of them seemed to be from the general public. Snapping a file on a woman closed he placed it back on his desk. Herman’s eyes settled hard on the polished wood the dull shine helping him think on how to approach his mentor. Just what had he gotten himself into?
