Another question: Is the effect of a card like Celestial Mantle considered a life-gaining effect? (For example, if I had a Vizkopa Guildmage out and had it's second ability activated, would each opponent lose life equal to the amount mine doubled by when I did damage with an enchanted creature?)
Yes. Any time your life total changes and it’s higher than it was before, that’s considered gaining life. Any time your life total changes and it’s lower than before, that’s considered losing life.
Since Cipher encodes the spell to a creature, would a copy of the creature also have the spell ciphered to it? (For example, could I cipher Stolen Identity to Keymaster Rogue, attack, then make a copy ofKeymaster Rogue for a total of 2 creatures with Stolen Identity ciphered to them?)
No. The association the game has between a creature and a spell encoded (or imprinted) on that creature is not a copiable characteristic.
