𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐬, tattooed arms flex as she pulls a wrench. sitting, legs spread in dirty jeans, at her workbench. she’s not surprised her dad let his girlfriend down into her lab. he basically controlled shadow headquarters, anyway.. with she & chaos agent running things, around here. her basement basically resembles the bat cave, or something equally as unnecessarily high-tech. however, it is necessary. her dad insisted she have everything she needed, & more apparently. at the end of the day she was busy with assisting her father, & that is her job. not to mention her obligation. (or, privilege, depending on the day).
ohm is sitting on his perch on the corner of her desk. mechanical call chiming, echoing against his metal composition as he flaps his wings to signal her entrance. goggles perch on the top of jules’ head, shifting minutely with the narrowing of her eyebrows. teeth clenching, as she looks up through the corner of her eyes. she continues to work as stairs are descended. afraid to step of of line, whilst anxiety is bubbling in her chest. she sure is pretty.... a gold digger, maybe?
disrespecting midas is the last thing she wants to do, although... hey, this is her dad y’know? he’s hers’ - has been for years. & she knows he falls hard, when he does. he still gets mixed emotions when he sees the marigold tattoo on his leg. she doesn’t want him to get hurt, again. & sometimes she wished she was enough for him, alone. but hey - what can she do? he’s stressed out enough as it is.
he hasn’t told her about the two of them being an item at all, but jules isn’t stupid. clearly. “if my dad sent you here, don’t worry. you can go & say you stayed.” her voice rings - not quite as charming, as her father’s. “don’t worry. i don’t care.” she doesn’t stop working, though. tinkering, & picking up / dropping tools in her wake. “trust me, if my dad is happy, everyone’s happy -” she wheels her chair to her other workbench. ohm follows, to sit on another perch. “so i guess you’re doing all of us a favour.”
