The rest of the schoolweek was kinda boring. It was nice being with friends and other people everyday and not being home that much. I did have some eye contact with Matt and I smile thinking of the memory. His cute smile and those eyes. Wow. The week kinda flew by and there were a lot of fights at home as usual. I mostly spend my free time in my room listening to music and meeting up with Kira, Josh and Aiden. It was now Saturday the day of the party and I was very excited to just get out of the house and party. Jake didn’t really live that far away from me so I could walk to the party.

It was currently 2pm and I decided to take a shower before Kira came over. After the shower I put on a vanilla body butter and dried my hair. I put on some blue shorts and a pink top. I turned on my box and put on some rap music. I was jamming to the songs when I heard a knock on the door. I opened the front door and let Kira in. My dad was on a work trip and my mom was a weekend away with one of her friends. “Hey girl.” Kira said. “Heyy.” I said. “I’m kinda hungry, do you have some food?” Kira asked. “Oh so that’s why you’re here for food.” I said with a smirk. “Yeah sorry I didn’t want to tell you.” Kira said. We both started laughing. “No but like fr do you have food?” Kira asked. “Yeah I have some crisps I guess.” I said. “Yummy thanks.” Kira said hugging me. We watched a movie and danced to music till it was 5:15pm. “Oh shit we have to leave to Macdonald’s.” I say. “Oh shit yeah we don’t want Aiden and Josh to get mad.” Kira said laughing. We walked out of the door to my car and got in. We drove over to Macdonald’s.

“Hey guys.” Me and Kira say as we walk over to the table Josh and Aiden were sitting down. “Hi y/n and hi Kira.” Josh said. “Hey.” Aiden said as his attention was already on his girlfriend and he pat on the seat next to him signaling for Kira to sit down. “So what you guys gonna order?” Aiden asked. “Probably some nuggets and fries.” I say. “Yeah same.” Kira says. “I’m gonna order fries and a big ass burger yo.” Aiden says. We start laughing. “I’m ordering the same as Aiden but without the big ass.” Josh says. We laugh again. God I loved these moments just our dumb humor and living in this moment and not think about anything else. After a while we got our food and finished it up. “So me and Kira are going back to my place to get ready for the party, you guys can join us.” I say. “Okay we’ll come.” Josh says. Me and Kira got in my car and Josh and Aiden followed us in Josh’s car.

We arrived at my place around 7:30pm. Jake’s party starts at 9pm so we got enough time to get ready. “You guys can just chill in my living room while me and Kira get ready.” I say before walking upstairs to my room. “God what do I wear?” I ask Kira. “Maybe like a dress, I’m wearing my black one.” Kira says. “Ooh hot, yeah I’ll wear my navy blue dress I guess.” I say. “Omg yes that’s one hot.” Kira says. I put on my makeup and decided to do something different and add a little eyeliner and line my eyes with eye pencil. I thought it looked good so maybe I’ll do this more often. I liked my lips and put on a gloss. “I’m ready.” I say. “Gosh hot asf.” Kira says. “Oh shut up look at you.” I say. “Ooh it’s 9:05pm, we better hurry.” I say. We walk down the stairs and put on some heels. I put on ones were the heel isn’t to long so I could still dance if I feel like it. “You guys finally done?” Aiden asks. “Yeah sorry it took so long babe.” Kira says. We walk out the door and made our way to the party.

We had only been at the party for 30 minutes now and Aiden was already a bit tipsy. Me and Kira were just dancing on the dance floor with drinks in our hands as I saw a familiar face. I saw Chris talking to Josh, my best friend Josh! Did that mean that Josh knew Matt? Did that mean Matt was also here? Why was Josh talking to Chris. I then noticed Nate, Nate was an old friend of Josh and they’d still catch up sometimes. Chris was probably friends with Nate but did that mean Matt was also? It suddenly got very hot inside and I made my way through all the sweaty dancing people. I walked to the back door and walked outside.

I let out a sigh as I walked over to a swing I saw in the backyard. I sat down my drink still in my hand. I went to take a sip as the back door opened revealing him. Matt was now walking outside and he didn’t notice me. It was quite dark so that made sense. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it up. I watched him as he inhaled the smoke, holding it for a bit before exhaling. God he looked good doing it. Why did I think about him in this way? I never liked anyone. I never thought of anyone like this. Of course I have thought about kissing a boy but I never found one that I wanted. Now I’m sitting here at 17, never kissed, never had a boyfriend, still a virgin and staring at a boy for the first time. Of course I’ve seen boys I found attractive but it was different, not like this. At this point he almost finished his cigarette. I was thinking about going up to him but what would I say. ‘Hey I’m y/n and I keep thinking about you and staring at you, I never thought of a boy like this but you’re different, nice to meet you.’ That would be weird asf, so I just decided to keep quiet and wait for him to get back inside. It was already later at night so the grass was damp. I tried to sit more comfortable but my heel slipped on the grass. Shit. A loud sound came from the swing I was sitting on. “You good?” I opened my eyes in shock as I hear Matt’s voice. God that voice is so attractive. “Hello?” Matt asked. I got shook out of my thoughts. “Uhm y-yes.” I say. “How long were you sitting there?” He asked. “Uhm 10 minutes or something. “Mmh so you were just staring at me then?” Matt asked. Oh God hell yes I was. “Uh no.” I said. Matt was now walking over to me. Shit. “Y/n right?” He asked. How tf did he know my name. My eyes widened. “Uhm yes.” I said confused. “How do you know that?” I asked. “You liked my insta post right?” He asked. Oh no he saw the notification, why did I unlike it oh god. I just looked at him my eyes slightly widened. “Or didn’t you?” He asked. “I got the notification but when I clicked on it I didn’t see anything.” He said. God I felt so embarrassed. I didn’t know what to say but the small amount of alcohol in my system still took the lead. “I was scrolling on insta and saw ur post when my mom walked in and I accidentally liked it, when I grabbed my phone again I unliked it ‘cause I figured it would be weird since you don’t know me.” The words flew out of my mind. Why was I so nervous? I normally didn’t have any problem talking to a boy. Maybe it was just Matt. His gaze, his clothes. His face, everything. He looked at me with an expression I couldn’t read. Oh god he probably thought I was weird. I fucked it up already. “Oh you didn’t have to unlike it, I didn’t mind.” Matt suddenly says. Oh. My. God. He didn’t mind? “Oh okay noted.” I said. God why did I say that such a loser. “I’m Matt btw but I think you already knew that since you’re in my class.” He said. I nodded. “Nice earrings.” He said. I looked back at him, he had a small smile on his face. “You too.” I said smiling. I felt my face going red. He noticed them omg. “Wanna go back inside it’s kinda cold?” Matt asked. “Uh yeah sure it is pretty cold.” I said. We made our way through the backyard back to the house.

As we walked inside the living room my eyes instantly met with Kira. Her eyes were wide and filled with shock. I didn’t tell her about Matt but she definitely noticed me staring this past week. “Hey y/n, over here.” I heard Josh saying. I walked over to him. Matt following me. “Hey, Josh.” I said. “Who’s this?” Josh asked. “Oh this is Matt.” I say. Matt shakes Josh’s hand. “Hey nice to meet you, Josh.” Matt says. “Yeah nice to meet you, Matt.” Josh says. “So how do you guys know each other?” Josh asks. “Oh we actually just met.” I say. “Yeah someone was staring at me.” Matt says. I push his shoulder. “Shut up I wasn’t.” I say. Matt laughs. “Yeah sure.” He says. Josh looked at me with a confused look. I just smiled at him.

“Hey I’m gonna smoke again, wanna come?” Matt asks. “Uh yeah sure.” I say. We walk outside together. Matt grabs a cigarette and puts it in between his lips. God that looked so good. He grabbed a lighter and lit the cigarette. He inhales the smoke and keeps it in for a second. “Can I try?” I ask. I never thought those words would leave my mind but the way he was doing it made it look good. He exhaled. “You sure?” He asked. I nodded. He handed me the cigarette and I put it in between my lips. I already studied him while he was doing it so I just did what I saw. I inhaled the smoke and held it for a bit before exhaling. I coughed while exhaling. “First time smoking?” Matt asked. “Yep:” I say. “I see.” He says with a small grin. “So are you and Josh dating?” Matt asked. I laughed. “Me and Josh? No never he’s my best friend he’s like a brother to me.” I say. “Why you asking ?” I ask. “No nothing just curious, I saw the way he was looking at you.” Matt says. Looking at me what. “What do you mean looking at me?” I ask. “Well he looked kinda jealous when I told him you were staring at me:” Matt says. “Nah sure he wasn’t, he’s just protective over me.” I say. “If you say so.” Matt says. “Shut up Matt.” I say laughing. He inhaled the smoke from his cigarette again. “Why are you always staring at me while I smoke?” Matt asks. “I’m not, just observing.” I say. Matt laughs. “Observing, god. Name a better excuse.” He says. I just roll my eyes. “Can I try again?” I ask. He nods and hands me the cigarette. I inhale again, hold the smoke before exhaling. This time I didn’t cough. “Gosh you’re a natural.” Matt says. I laugh.

Me and Matt hung out outside for about an hour. “I like this more than the party.” I suddenly say. Matt locks eyes with me. “What do you mean?” He asks. “Just being here outside talking.” I say. “You like hanging out with me more than the party?” He asks. I didn’t specifically say with him but it is what it is meant and he knew it. I nodded. “Well me too.” He says. His words make my face go red. Was he flirting with me? I don’t even know how that works or anything. “Y/n?” Matt asks. “Yeah what?” I ask. “Why were you staring at me for this past week?” He asks. I swallow. Omg he saw me. I felt my face go even more red. Matt noticed. “You didn’t have to feel ashamed, if I saw you staring it meant I was looking too.” He says. Omg. I look back up at him and he has a sweet smile on his face. “Y- you were?” I ask. “Yes how could I not?” He says. Omg his words make me blush even more. He steps closer to me, now hovering over me. I swallow. “Why are you so nervous?” Matt asks. I just looked at him words not being able to get out of my mouth. I was frozen. I have never been this close to a boys face before. I looked at his lips and then back at his eyes. Gosh the way I wanted to kiss him so badly even though I never did It before and didn’t know wtf to do. I saw him doing the same. Looking at my lips then back at my eyes. I moved even a bit closer. Before I knew it his lips were on mine. I was kissing a boy?! I was kissing Matt?! I kissed him back. I didn’t know what I was doing but I just went with it. I felt his tongue on my lips wanting access. I opened my mouth giving him it. I felt a weird feeling in my stomach. His hands were on my hips and mine were on his neck. After a long make out session, I pulled back. Our lips were both swollen and red from the kissing. I looked him in the eyes. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I wanted to say something when the door opened. “Y/n come quick we have to go home, Aiden just threw up in the living room.” Kira said in the door opening. I looked at her. “What Jesus.” Before I knew it I got pulled inside of the house by Kira. I looked back seeing Matt still smiling. I smiled back at him before I couldn’t see him anymore.

“What were you doing outside with him?” Kira asked inside the car. I saw Josh looking over at me. “Nothing just talking.” I said while my face gained a small pink blush. “OMG you kissed him?” Kira asked. Josh his eyes were now widened. I nodded softly. “Omg girl your first kiss.” Kira said pulling me in a hug. “How was it? Was it good? Was it with tongue?” She asked. “Kira.” I groaned. “Omg it was with tongue, lucky girl.” I looked away tryna hide my smile but it was almost impossible. God that kiss was so good. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. And I couldn’t stop thinking about Matt.
