Legendary and Universal are really, really cross with each other right now and they did many of Legendary’s projects together. (Legendary hardly/never ever does something without a major studio.) Projects like Pacific Rim 2 got cancelled alltogether. 

The Skull Island-movie and all their original ideas is now property of Warner, but the theme-park is still okay as the character Kong is public property as is the original book. Only the new characters and everything that is unique to the movie, can’t be added. I doubt visitors will take an interest in the change as long as there is a gigantic ape. So yeah. It is a Kong-ride, but can’t have anything to do with the movie anymore or they’d get into legal trouble.

Oh there have been “Tompocalypses” before the one in early 2014. We had one in…..I can’t even remember anymore when it was, in early 2013 I think. In the span of one week we got the FLAUNT photoshoot, the VOGUE photoshoot and two or three other things. It was ridiculous. It got to the point where I was legitimately scared to open tumblr or twitter. And before that there was the Avengers promo Tompocalypse in April 2012.

I agree that one or two new pictures in as many weeks does not make a Tompopalypse, but there have been other periods than just that one week in 2014 that absolutely deserved the name. ;)

I only joined the fandom in October-November 13, so I still consider myself to be a newbie to all this. I’m still not sure whether or not I should count myself lucky for joining so late, missing out on the waves of destruction that were caused by the Thor 2 and Avengers promo. I barely survived the Tompocalypse, I don’t think I would’ve been able to survive the Flaunt AND the Vogue photoshoot in one week. I suddenly have a new-found respect for the veteran fans in the fandom, how did you manage to make it out alive? ;)

I get questions like this all the time like "don't you think Tom is bi??" Like, no, not really, also that's not my business? It sometimes feels like this weird fetishization of him with like Chris H I don't know I have a lot of thoughts on this

It’s not something that I spent a lot of time thinking about. There’s always the disparity of what I know, what I think is likely, what I think/suspect, what is possible and what is fanfiction. I think in fanfiction and what is possible there are hardly any limits, as Tom is a stranger that we don’t know.

I know that he said he is heterosexual and I know that he was in a relationship with Susannah Fielding. That’s as far as I’d say “I know”. Everything beyond that is more or less speculation. Some nearly proven, some absolutely without bias.

I think/suspect that he at least kissed another guy. That comes from knowing that most of my friends did and knowing what happens if you put adolescent people together. They’ll try things. Did he like it? Had he sex with guys? How’d I know!

Is he bisexual? No, idea. I’d tend to say heterosexual, because of him checking out women, being linked to women and saying that he likes women. Would I be shocked if it was different? No. As I said, I don’t know him and I don’t care either way.

Fanfiction is great either way. There everything is possible.
