Day 12 | Hands at Work #marchmeetthemaker . I’ve been working with my hands for a long time, they aren’t particular big hands but they are mine. I know them really well. I know which fingers hurt when I grip too tight, which ones have scars from razor blades, even which ones have tendencies to get too dry from over use. . When I met Jenn’s Dad, Murray, I shook his hand like any other person I meet for the first time. He turned my hand over and looked at it, and remarked that my Thenar mass was very developed. The Thenar mass is the fleshy part of the palm connected to the thumb, it controls how you pinch. He said ‘you must work with your hands’. I would consider this comment super weird had I not know that Murray is one of the top Physiotherapists in the city. We still joke about it today. . My hands are my life, they let me translate my ideas into reality. #makersgonnamake #sewing #oldmanhands #thenarmass (at Winnipeg, Manitoba) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu6QJs6h0SU/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xr3ssd783glr
